Tom Ford have announced their latest offering with a sharp title and a soft heart by launching Rose Prick. The designer himself declares: “The prick of a rose. The slight pain that yields such sensual pleasure. Inspired by my own rose garden, Rose Prick is a wild bouquet of intoxicating and rare hybrids. A trilogy of Rose de Mai, Turkish and Bulgarian roses. Sharp and pristine. Warm and sensual. A heady bouquet of blooms in pink perfection. The danger of being so close to beauty heightens the seductive power of Rose Prick.”

Opening with Bulgarian roses and Rose de Mai, heat and spice are added with Sichuan pepper and turmeric extract. At the heart, more Bulgarian Rose, which requires over a million blossoms to make one kilogram of rose oil. Indonesian patchouli adds a Chypre element and Tonka weaves in notes of caramel and vanilla. A dry down of Tolu and musk add an animal edge.
The matte opaque rose pink bottle, capped with a matte black metal inset of the 50ml flacon is classic Ford and there is also a 250ml decanter designed to make a statement.
