Molton Brown to launch Wild Mint & Lavandin

Molton Brown are launching their latest scent at the end of the month: Wild Mint & Lavandin. The fragrance will be available as Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum, as well as Bath & Shower Gel.

Created by Perfumer Nathalie Koobus, this fragrance is described as a modern take on a classic fougère:

Instantly stimulating yet soothing, it imagines an exploration of a cool forest. The rush of a crystal-clear stream. Shady banks of shrubs, stalks and bushes. The freedom of off-grid adventure.

Perfumer, Koobus says, “I wanted to capture the forest walks in my home of Provence, where nature’s invigorating air of verdant herbaceous shrubs is edged by purple fields of lavandin.

The Eau de Toilette features a hit of wild mint, basil and lavandin – a more powerful, greener variety of lavender – followed by orris root, sandalwood and tonka bean.

For the Eau de Parfum, Koobus picked creamy nutmeg as the signature note, giving a warm balance to tonic mint.

Molton Brown’s new Wild Mint & Lavandin collection launches online and in-store on Wednesday, 30th August 2023.

I won’t get my hopes up too high, but this sounds like it’ll be worth a sample in both the EDT and EDP.

I use and love Molton Brown products. What really annoys me, however, is their policy to discontinue fragrances little or no warning. Several of my favourite shower gels have stopped being made. I do not want to fall in love with something for it to be disappeared.

I have quite a few Molton Brown bath and shower gels and do own a number of their fragrances. But, this does not grab me at all but who knows the bath gel might be lovely? Now Aromatherapy Associates do a gorgeous bath oil, Peppermint and Lavender.

Agree with David Ruskin, they are famous for their here one day and gone the next without even a hint they are discontinuing products.

Wild Mint. Should be interesting. Mint can be tricky in a fragrance, either too much or too little. Le Male original formula got it right. But, that's history now. Anyway, Im interested in trying this one from Molton Brown.
