Institute for Art and Olfaction Awards 2015: Now Receiving Submissions

Following the success of last year’s ceremony, the Los Angeles-based Institute for Art and Olfaction invites submissions for their 2015 Awards, this time with a new, experimental category. The closing date for submissions is Friday December 19th and submissions are welcome of fragrances released between January 1st and December 31st, 2014. The finalists will be announced at Exsence in Milan, and the award ceremony will be held in Los Angeles in April 2015.

Continuing from last year are the Independent and Artisan categories but a new category has been added: the Sadakichi Award for Experimental Scent. For both the independent and the artisan categories, two awards will be presented out of five finalists, whereas the Sadakichi award will go to just one project chosen from five finalists. This year’s judges include Christophe Laudamiel, Luca Turin, Mandy Aftel, Miriam Vareldiz, Brent Leonesio, Mark Allen, Sarah Horowitz-Thran and others, and the process will follow the same system of blind judging from last year.
