Creed launches limited edition Aventus fragrance

This month Creed has launched a new limited edition Aventus, Absolu Aventus, which the house says ‘offers a complex twist that creatively pays homage to Aventus’ iconic signature note of pineapple’, this time adding a ‘sophisticated sharpness’ with the inclusion of grapefruit in the top notes. Also listed as key ingredients are cinnamon, cardamom and Haitian vetiver.

While the original Aventus has spurred legions of fans worldwide, Absolu is a rarer edition to the collection which will delight Aventus devotees and invite a fortunate few to join its discerning community.

In addition to the grapefruit, fresh notes of bergamot, lemon, blackcurrant and ginger open the fragrance, with the signature Aventus pineapple heading up the heart, along with patchouli, pink pepper, cardamon and cinnamon. The base combines vetiver, cashmere wood, labdanum, ambroxan, musks and oakmoss.

But just as a shooting star graces the night sky but once, Absolu Aventus is a rare event that shall adorn only a fortunate few with its highly limited run.

Absolu Aventus is available at Creed boutiques and retailers and is priced at £325 for 75ml, only while stocks last.

Key question : how many bottles were manufactured ? 1000 / 5000 / 100,000
I would need to know the answer to that question before buying.

Fair enough. It's unfortunate that this and Carmina are only 75ml. Probably Creed's standard going forward.

Creed ought to change it's name to Greed. I was fortunate enough to get a bottle at a pretty nice discount. I absolutely love the fragrance, but my main takeaway points of it are that I would *NOT* love it if I'd paid the retail price for it (pretty much same for any Creed fragrance except Royal Oud) and I think that it smells nothing like Aventus. I would not say that it smells like Dior Sauvage Elixer, but the two are definitely in the same genre, and most people I had smell the drydown on skin couldn't tell the difference between the two after a 30 minute drydown. That being said, Absolu Aventus is beautiful, and I hope they re-release it as a regular staple of their fragrance offerings, but offer it in 50mL and 100mL sizes for the standard price.
