  • Nice of you to remember that! I am kind of zeroed in on Caron- French Can Can. It must be from the boutique in Paris, though. How finicky is that!? But I do love many of my other scents still, of course.

A new Calandre!? That's news to me. How exciting. Sounds lovely! Thanks for the note.
I was thinking about you, kumquat, after reading a recent 'signature fragrance' thread, and how you found that perfect signature fragrance, even with the vast library of fragrances that exist inside your head. Hope all is well with you and yours. It's summer here in NZ and I have powered through about 50mls of the reintroduced 'Calandre' as my most worn holiday frag.
I've just realized I've never sent you a friend request! A major oversight as I have long admired your posts and blog, and was so delighted that you joined the Coty pass. Well, here it is now; would be my honor to have you accept!
My dear kumquat's thanks for your birthday wishes. All the good for you and for your loved ones :kiss:
Hi, Paul, I love jasmine, too. A rich white floral. Kumquat, the note, however, doesn't have much in common with Jasmine. It is a bright, tangy citrus note- sharp and similar to an orange peel.
Kumquat. Long time no chat. Can I ask you a question? I found a certain cologne I'm interested in and it has kumquat as a note according to the notes listed in Fragrantica(yes, that other sight). Question: Jasmine is one of my favorites notes in perfumery and I was wondering, "Does kumquat smell anything like jasmine?" Thank you as I'd surmise you've smelled the actual thing. Paul H.
Thank you! Sorry I didn't see what you wrote to me until the thread closed :(
Thank you. I shall be delighted to be a friend. Have a lovely smelly day every day.
It's my special honor and pleasure to become friends with you! You are a woman of remarkable and outstanding taste! Chapeau! :)

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves.
    Happy Holidays! :)
I might come to Wichita this Spring. I will definitely see my 2 favorite Kansan perfumistas then, you can be sure!
Thank-you, Shades and Killwia! You know, I really don't need anything as far as perfume is concerned. Getting more at this point just seems ludicrous. I am in a definite buying lull. I am getting more familiar with all of my beauties, though. For my birthday I wore my favorite classic formula of 'Rive Gauche'. It always makes me happy, especially in cold weather, for some reason.
happy birthday! Any new smellies for birthday presents?

Are you coming to Wichita again any time soon?
