Reviews of Versace Versense by Versace

So fruity it's almost burp-ish. Disappointing. How can they assume that all women like cloying sweet scents?

Fresh, green, citrusy, fizzy, light and bright. Very likeable. Very spring-like. Very uplifting. I applied it on the back of my hand and could feel the joyful sparkly lemony and a bit herbal whiffs of it through the day - I was surprised to see it's quite long lasting. It doesn't shout, but you can feel its presence without sniffing your hand directly. Smells youthful, but definitely not immature - I imagine a professional woman with short hair, glasses, trouser suit, comfortable shoes (as she's always on the run), witty smile and curious attitude rocking this.

LOVE this fragrance for Spring and Summer....it's PERFECT for warm weather. Great for daytime, office, and summer nights.

Looks like it's quite affordable these days, too! Always a plus for my little perfume budget! :)

A Citrusy Scent with touch of floral. VERSENCE is definitely bright fragrance that freshness is a definite characteristic in it.nothing very special&akttractive but beautiful scent like the joy of living. crisp, urban, sparkling, youngish, clean, modern and interesting.

It starts with citrusy and fresh nvotes that supposedly makes people think you are younger than what you are then appeal a beautiful charm tinged due floral heart.upshot musk and sandalwood create an clean and soft base that is gentle on your skin and tender feeling for your nose.

In my opinion this VERSACE EDT is not too feminine.it is s a casual everyday scent.highly recommend for a lady do not like strong smell.perfect in warm weather.Ideal for a modern lady (20/30 years old).totally this is not more than a Simple fresh fragrance for me.

This Versace's fragrance (despite not specifically classified as aquatic) is more aquatic (which doens not mean necessarily ozonic) than the Pacific Ocean. A blend of citrus, grapefruit, aromatic patterns (verbena is notable), floral notes (lily of the valley over all), green tea, woods and musk. Versense does not manage to be what on the contrary Roger&Gallet The' Vert is. Supreme sharp boredom, it smells like 1000 others around.

Orange and vegetal greens open up this fragrance before a heart of sweet figs and aromatic incense woods vibe comes forward and remains strong for hours. Not a cloyingly sweet fragrance, but bold and sophisticated. Perfect for a mature professional woman I'd think. Definitely a complex commitment. Lasts over 7 hours.

Opens up a lot like a bottle of 7UP or Sprite would. It's fresh, citrusy, bright, fizzy and bubbly all at the same time! Definitely get a fizzy, icy lemon/lime vibe out of this, with a soft floral dry-down with hints of musk. Great for women but also works amazingly well on a man. Totally fresh, totally summery, totally unisex. More like a citrus, Mediterranean version of CK One.

Fresh summer scentA nice fresh citrus-bergamot top note leads to a cardamom and jasmine that take nothing away from its lightness, but add substance. The base is a nice, bright white musk. A great summer scent with an expected limited longevity of two hours - in the average range for such fragrances.

To my mind this is just the perfect summer fragrance. It starts as pure lemon, interesting, as this is not listed in the Notes. However, it then settles into something warmer, but still refreshing. For me it is very much a fragrance that evokes a time and place, bought it at the airport last year on my way to Cyprus for 2 months, and wore it every evening, whilst sipping chilled white wine on my friend's balcony, and every time I ware it, that is where I am.

A very commercial product, without much personality. A scent that will never become a classic. Not really feminine or original. Just a fresh and clean scent. Sorry but it was a disappointment.

While reviewing Versense, I am currently sitting in a rather stuffy, hot room with a fan while the temperature outside is 37 degrees celsius (98.6 degrees fahrenheit). In such dry, hot conditions, Versense works extremely well. It's refreshing and clean without being too generic or bland.

This is one Summer scent that transcends beyond the typical lemon candy and cheap shampoo type scents. Versense equals class and distinction in my opinion.

Versense opens with mandarin orange and bergamot, which come forth in a subtle fashion, while the fig creates a green and somewhat sweet blend. From the first application, it is obvious that this fragrance has been well-crafted.

Unique was the first word that sprung to mind when the heart began to develop on my skin. The lily and jasmine were like a freshly picked, Spring bouquet, sprinkled with a fine mist of water, while the cardamom created a spicy and earthy finish.

The drydown, while primarily musk, has a beautiful, salty olive tree note, which does indeed make me long for Italy and Greece. Versense is like the Mediterranean; serene, picturesque and soothing.

While most Summer fragrances, mostly citrus-based scents, don't work with my skin chemistry, Versense did. The lasting strength was fantastic, lasting almost a whole day through such high temperatures.

I'd recommend Versense to those that love green florals like Envy by Gucci and Chanel No.19. The musky drydown may be a bother to some, so it's best to test this fragrance a few times before deciding to buy.

This is a nice scent -- nothing exceptionally good nor bad here.
Starts with a green, fresh-citrus note. Where is the fig? Usually that is a very distinctive note but I get none of it here. A bit aquatic, at times a bit metallic but these are not problem areas. Vague hints of a nutty spice. Not sweet, not heavy. I wouldn't seek it out but I don't disdain it. Dry-down is a bit like ink on paper, curiously it reminds me vaguely of Encre Noir.

For me this is some strange mix between Armand Bassi's In Red and Un Jarden sur le Nile by Hermes (both of which I love). The opening is very nice and fresh, but midle notes (lily?) are quite annoying for my nose... A liitle bit too feminine maybe? In any case, smells cheaper and less interesting than the two other perfumes it reminds me of.

Interesting citrus blast of a floral. This would epitomize Citrus Floral to me at this point. If there weren't so many Fruity/Florals in the collection, this would have a chance. Aqua Allegoria Mandarine-Basilic by Guerlain is similar in citrus blast, and already own it. However, Versace Versense drys down to a floral, whereas Mandarine does not.

Sour opening but it's an awesome soury bergamot. This dries into a woodsy light musk. This vibrant and lively (neon colored) green woodsy floral. D&G Light Blue meets Acqua di Gio pour Homme. This is a winner and one I'd wear during the spring months. Reading the note "olive wood" makes me think of a smooth rounded wood. Very good, well balanced and well made. Only problem is longevity.

This is awesome! It smells to my nose like a green version of D&G Light Blue, that synthetic but so good sweet. Like Light Blue, this is almost unisex, if all the femme notes (sea lilly?) in the middle were removed. Very modern, for the confident woman...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Citrusy yet sophisticated opening, but dries down quickly to a barely-there wood with some floral hints as well. The remaining scent is soft, but still complex. Unfortunately, it's all but worn off on me and it's not even lunch, which is why I feel I need to give it a neutral rating. It's really too bad because this is ideal for a subtle and unique at work scent!

Very citrusy opening, I smell coriander. Then it dries down to a citrus MUSK. The drydown is masculine, I smell nothing feminine about it. I would love it on a man, on myself I'd smell SKANKY.

This one took me completely by surprise.I was shopping for something in my usual oriental range, and took home samples of this fragrance mainly because it's so hard to get samples these days, I'm grateful for any offered. I frankly had no interest in what, in the bottle and on paper, smelled like just another desperately "transparent" modern fragrance.I gave it another sniff, and recognized bergamot, so, in deference to Shalimar, I applied it to my skin.It opens with the sophisticated lemony smell you expect from bergamot, with an earthy zing from the cardamom and a certain gracious roundness that I attribute to the fig. Soon, this warms up with sandalwood and cedar, and the lovely play of jasmine. Jasmine, here freed from its usually overbearing companion, forms the perfect counterpoint to the woody heart of a masterfully blended fragrance.
