Upper Ten is a warm and spicy woody masculine that starts off with a beautiful balance but is eventually ruined by over-dosing with oud and guaic wood in the 2015 version. Cedar, sandalwood and amber combine beautifully with cinnamon and cardamom, very reminiscent of the original Hermes Bel-Ami, in the vintage 1920 version.The vintage version from 1920 is also redolent of patchouli and rose. It is a very nice straight-forward woody masculine without any great complexity, worthy of interest if you are into this type of scent.
Unfortunately, the genre never appealed to me.
