This is a very strong fragrance! If you enjoy that at least every now and then, this is definitely worthy of your attention. The most prominent notes to my nose are oud, saffron, and rose. The oud is more of a Smokey/incense type, and it does not smell barnyard to me at all. The rose is more of a sugared rose type of vibe. The praline sorta wraps around everything with a sweetness, which softens the sharp edges of the oud. If a fragrance was a texture, this is velvet. Soft, dense, and opulent, but a little jagged when you rub against the grain. If you’re new to oud and/or middle eastern fragrances, this is a great place to start. Incredible longevity, and ample projection/sillage. Definitely don’t overspray.

Originally, on my skin, I got a Rose Bomb. Rose just doesn't work for me at all. Upon further wearing's, I am getting a lot of Toffee and the rose is more in the background... It is sweet and dusty to my nose. I do like it now and am considering a full bottle. In my opinion, this is a def try before you buy... Enjoy!

Update. Full Bottle in hand. It is totally worth it. DO NOT use more than 2 sprays unless, you will be outdoors lol

Saffron and Oud seems to be the best ingredients in this fragrance. I tried the Aswad/black version for a bit longer and the sandalwood seems to be very effective in the Aswad version.

Both this and the Aswad version are head turners.

Shaghaf Oud is rife with coy essences that flirt with your sense and charm you with it's sensuous and ravishing accords. A lovely chocolatey rose oud. Here the oud is most likely the common synthetic version that's floating around designer fragrances these days, and it isn't present noticeably in this scent, it's friendly and clean. The rose is so velvety and so smooth. Vanilla and saffron makes the fragrance more feminine than unisex.

Caramel sweetened creamy vanilla, blanketed in waves of smooth oud, and enhanced with gentle fliral kisses of subtle rose and seductive saffron. smokey praline is plumped and just right, adding enough darkness to the composition of rose and oud. The saffron adds a herbal&floral quality that keeps the fragrance elegant and from shifting wholly toward the gourmand. In fact it opening chapter with the interesting arabian dance then faded into the background to let the main the ballet lady showed out.

It's in an amalgamation of bewitching contrasts that portraits images of evening romances. If you like Tom Ford Noir de Noir or Aramis Calligraphy Rose, you might like this a lot. For those who are looking a "srarter" oud and have found much they like in the corrent designer scents, Shaghaf Oud is a great introduction. If you're not comfortable with oriental sweet, strong fragrances this is not a safe blind buy.
