Turin calls this a "pale rose," however it is anything but. Unless he reviewed Rubj parfum and veroprofumo's Rubj parfum and eau de parfum are entirely different scents. Turin describes a combo of jasmine and rose. This is not Rubj eau de parfum.
This is a combo of powerful tuberose and sexy cumin. The neroli weaves the two together beautifully. One is reminded of Laroche's J'Ose, but the latter was sensually subtle, while Rubj is quite strong.
Nothing new here, but very well done and obviously using quality materials.
2 small sprays, out of the sprayer, give me bright fruits, florals, herbs and citrus. The bitter herbs balance the sweet florals and fruits. The fruit smells like a combo of peaches and pears. Per the Notes, it is passion fruit. The citrus is blood orange. Herb smells like cardamom and pepper, but per the Notes, is cumin. And the floral is clearly tuberose. Combined, the perfume smells like a fruity chypre. Several minutes in, a minty note comes up, that has to be the basil. Basil seems to sit somewhere between patch and spearmint; this one leans to the spearmint side.
The middle is a unique blend of the tuberose, the orange, the fruit, the cumin and a slowly emerging moss note. Rubj EDP occupies some of the same headspace as SH Pear+Olive and Le Parfum de Therese.
As Rubj progresses several hours in, the oakmoss in the base becomes more evident. The dry down is a beautiful late summer fruity chypre. Projection is moderate. Longevity is at least 8 hours +.
This is an excellent summer fragrance, for men or women, and is a WINNER.
Late Summer Rubj EDP shares maturity, experience and wisdom with the other Vero Kern's creations, succeeding nevertheless in staying light and brilliant. Its particular combination of fruity and white floral notes is tinged with subtle hints to over-ripeness, decay, vegetable corruption, yet it's sunny and serene like a late summer day approaching sunset. The spicy, cumin facets of orange blossoms, its salty, slightly sour fleshy pulpiness and the honeyed, waxy, slightly bitter drydown recall and enhance the smell of human skin after a long day sunbathing at the beach. The lasting power is quite impressive.
beautiful light, summer scent of exotic fruits and creamy orange flower,
passion fruit is very prominent note, and the drydown is green cedar- oak moss combo, that adss a little of chypre feeling to it!...overall its much more fruity exotic, and airy then perfume concentration, less sweet then perfume which is more about tuberose and musks
it is not so longlasting on the skin as i would expect, it goes very soon in the this a little sharp drydown, and the opening is like fresh fruit salad in the morning in some exotic bright place
Wow, wow, wow. Ripe fruit, very ripe . . . tropical, passionfruit I believe and hot unwashed body parts after carnal encounter. Truly original, striking, beautiful and erotic. Very long lasting, big sillage. You want to be careful when and where you wear this, but you definitely want to wear it! You've been warned . . . . .
