The initial blast of lemon, hyacinth, and patchouli fades pretty quickly to a slightly lemony white floral skin scent with a little pinch of skank. I don't get any other fruit besides lemon.

This is nothing like other Juicy Couture fragrances. It's stinky green (in a good way), with just enough sweetness to make it palatable. If it were stronger, it would be a favorite. As it is, I'm content with my $19.99 3.4 oz. bottle from Marshall's, but I doubt I'll rebuy even at that price. Still, two thumbs up.

The pyramid reads like my dream of a composition. While the resulting frag isn't that, I do like it in cold weather; horrible and screeching in heat.

Years ago I wore Calyx and Metal, and PL&JC has a sharp, green vegetal edge like those. Actually, it's pretty retro! Where I can tell it's modern is the base - it softens some from its brash opening and fades into a pretty hyacinth and stemmy accord, and that's about it.

Some say it reminds them of Cristalle, one of my great loves. I have an 80s bottle of Cristalle that's like the fragrance equivalent of a balsamic reduction after all this time. It has no sparkle as its top notes have long ago evaporated, though it's a fascinating study in how complex and deep and warmly bitter the blend of base notes is - could swear there's immortelle or even fenugreek!

Anyway, I'd wanted something to give that old juice some lift without significantly altering its profile, and a little PL&JC spritzed over it smells fantastic! One base-heavy and the other top, they align and complete each other and become a formidable dayglo green thing.

Juicy Couture has surprised me several times with their creative interpretations on cheap themes, but this one doesn't shine quite like its precursors. Peace, Love, & JC smells like the brief for the perfumers was just 'Make a wearable Suave brand shampoo.' It's a bitter, damp white floral with a freesia-like hyacinth and jasmine combo. If the lemon and iris shone a little brighter I bet this would have turned out more interesting. Strangely, it smells cheap but with decent or better ingredients. The heart is less flower-stem bitter than the opening but the ultimate drydown is unfortunately banal.
Not terrible, but Juicy Couture and Couture Couture are far better made.
