Latest Reviews of Nuée Bleue

Nuée Bleue—a reinvention of the final scent from the original Maison Violet—opens with fresh citrus and then centers squarely on iris, with a light base that doesn't take the spotlight. The citrus persists for quite some time—especially the orange blossom—and the slower-blooming, longer-lasting iris is lovely.

To my nose, Nuée Bleue doesn't sparkle with quite the intensity of Luca Maffei's more operatic variation on the same theme, Masque Milano's l'Attesa, which I happened to sample the day before this. NB is still an excellent fragrance, though, and at about half the price of l'Attesa (as of this writing), many may find it preferable. For that matter, you might well prefer it purely on its olfactory merits. It certainly has no shortage of them.
