This could have very well have been named Opoponax Labdanum (violet-tinted bottle).

The opening is a delicious syrupy concord grape (methyl anthranilate, perhaps the intention was to impart orange flower, but its all Grape Crush to my nose, in the best possible way). This gives way to the opoponax, all toffee-like with a dash of savory.

However, it's worth noting that entire fragrance seems to use a fractional distillation of labdanum like ambrarome or dynarome, all dusty, animalic, and tenacious.

This opens with a pleasant refreshing, slightly sweet, Wintergreen.
It then turns to a light, mildly spiced Amber with a Patchouli Animalic folded in.
For those who know PG L'Ombre Fauve, we have a scent that follows this path and goes home when the animals come out.
Very nice balanced, Unisex, however a little tame for us that like the warm fuzziness of L'Ombre Fauve and the Furri-ness of Russian Musk.

Reminds me of Habanita. Long lasting. Elegant.

Deep. Rich. Smoky. Incensey-wood. Spicey. Ambery patch. Luxurious. Very alluring.

Not really a musk fragrance--more of a strong, sweet, powdery patchouli and amber scent. Nice, natural feel, but far from the musk I was expecting.

Molinard Musc is a very warm, slightly sweet, very lightly animalic musk that could be easily be sold as a niche scent for 8 times the price. All of the Les Senteurs line is quite remarkable. If you are looking for single note fragrances, it doesn't get any better than Molinard.
