Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is underrated for sure. I don't get plastic. More-so a naturalistic resinous amver with a vanilla rice pudding. I love the sour-vanillic gourmand nuances. It's rich but never feels overbearing or stagnant like vanillas tend to get. It's also quite mature for a smokey vanilla.

The fragrance is relatively linear, the opening favors the resins, benzoin, rice, and spices, at this point the fragrance feels moist, resinous, sweet, and gourmand; towards the dry down and after the vanilla has joined, the fragrance becomes dry, resinous, sweet, and vanilla. Once Kenzo Amour Le Parfum has reached it's full dry down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, balsamic sweet, resins, amber, vanilla, yellow floral frangipani, smokey incense anise, and rice fragrance. Rice as a scent note is criminally underrated!

In fact, the vanilla is not too sweet. Strong but not over powering. Not on your face. It is elegant and has a multitude of enjoyable layers as it dries down. It smells very nice on skin and seems to last forever on clothes. I wish it were a bit more intense, but it is so feminine and lovely that you just spray generously. He sniffs the air with an approving sigh when you spray yourself in the bedroom!
