Izia
Sisley (2017)

A very fruity rose perfume. I smell peach and redcurrant over the rose (I have no idea what "white bergamot" is supposed to be....). Eventually, the green undertone of the currant mixes with what I think is probably vetiver, giving the rose a leafy green quality.

I generally don’t like fruity rose perfumes, and Izia isn’t doing much to win me over. The green elements are nice, and this would have been more appealing to me personally if it had let the rose shine with only the greens as support, instead of the fruit. Oh well.

Izia is what I think Olenna Tyrell would smell like. And she's a wise and badass grandma so okay. At first it's like being beaten with a rose bush. But then you just lie there in the petals and enjoy the peonies nearby while you think about what you've done until the sunset turns everything amber and you realize you've no regrets about the whole thing and will probably do it again.

I have yet to find a peony scent that doesn't smell of hairspray. This one has rose and pink pepper as well, but it's still wretched.

It's a very clean and refreshing rose.
It opens with a blast of Bergamot and pink pepper. Then after about 5-10 minutes I get a nice rose aroma. The rose and Bergamot last a decent amount of time and never fade away. After about an hour I started to get some cedar and musk notes from this and those played really nicely with the Bergamot and rose.

I never got much of any amber.

Overall this is a very clean, refreshing, and somewhat soapy rose fragrance.
