Sandalwood and vanilla, with ylang, but very much in the style of Chanel. There’s a hint of the bright and juicy berries with citrus, but overall this feels like a very feminine woody and floral musk. The vanilla adds a sweetness, but no so much to distract from the other notes. The Tuberose, Jasmine, and orange blossom are quite tame, in fact, the fragrance in general is very tame. I think some may find it boring, but I do not. I find it very pretty and polite, but sometimes that’s what you want. It’s all very balanced.

It's a lovely abstract white floral just like Gabrielle - but where Gabrielle is very crisp and slightly citrusy, this is warmer, fuller, with a bit of vanilla. And just like Gabrielle tickles my nose in the wrong way - I always sneeze when I wear it. A-choo.

Thumbs up for the scent, thumbs down for my reaction to it - the outcome is neutral.

Lauren Bacall in white dress gathers ruching hip short sleeve evening gown long.her deep, confident voice, insouciant gaze and perfectly molded waves made her, perhaps the original embodiment of effortless glamour.
White floral heaven. Like listening to wagner through a wall. Like that magic trick where the wand turns into a bouquet of flowers except the flowers and real and they want to eat you.

Creamy, clean, feminine, luxurious, simply lovely. A heavy hitter in the opening and lasts all day as a warm floral haze around the body. Sweet white floral cleanliness but not in that harsh bleach like state. It opens with with a natural yet elegant, fresh and slightly green, sweet and fruity bouquet of flowers with dominant ylang ylang and jasmine. During mid development, jasmine become stronger with a nice touch of a bit tender tuberose and romantic orange blossom. This all leads into a sensual, woody, floral and musky base makes the embodiment of woman in her most feminine possible.

In fact there is a slight muskiness which i attribute to an indolic jasmine as well as the base note, which add just a touch animalic earthiness. It's a floor lenght nude silk gown that caresses and accentuates in all the right places. For woman 25+ for lightweight and classic style. Champagne, white, light beige, gold, honey colors. Might even fit wedding. Totally imagine the fragrance of Gabrielle Essence in a big large bathroom with marble and just little light, all you have is a cloud of hot steam and you hear the sound of water in backet. Women use black soap, ghassoul with cloves, ylang ylang, jasmine and rose petals water. That's atmosphere of this perfume.a very maghrebine fragrance. Romantic heady and opulent.

Girly fruits. Some sort of berries - red currents, maybe? Very juicy. Flowers begin pouring in after the fruit. Lots of orange blossom. It calms down. Mellows, less fruity. Other florals join in, stay the course. Nothing overly remarkable here, for my nose. Safe fragrance. Pedestrian.

A bit of sandalwood appears first, before the other base notes kick in. It's tamped down, with residual berry flavor-sweetness. Slight, vanilla later. Still, safe-mode, gift-like, for the non-connoisseur of perfumes. Nothing I'd buy in volume.

Touches of sweet lemon, orange blossom and redcurrant dominate the opening blast, and at times I get whiffs of peach and brioches. Soon the evolvement of an ylang-ylang impression introduces a creamy sweetness that defines the first couple of hours. Rich with velvety intensity, the ylang-ylang soon moves into dominant position, but the neroli ensures a bright touch, preventing the sweetness from being too cloying.

In the drydown I get a very restrained tuberose added in. This tuberose is neither waxy nor rich and more in the background than in the front line of the heart notes.

The base added a tonka impression that is struggling against a lot of white musks that win the upper hand. The sweetness rescinds but moments of a nonspecific woodsiness with a whiff of an undertone of walnuts prevail until the end.

I get moderate sillage, very good projection and six hours of longevity on my skin.

This scent is suitable for evenings in spring. The first part is of a luscious sweet richness that is quite nice, but the rest is a tad bland at times.
Nevertheless, mainly due to the top notes this Chanel essence just makes it past the post to a positive score. 3/5
