According to Floris:

Elite is a contemplative concoction of grapefruit and Bergamot leaf sits with the beautifully woody base of this mature and mellow melange. Patchouli Lavender and Cedarwood meld subtly with Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Vetiver, and Tuberose for a richly inviting fragrance exuding the confidence of its wearer.

Floris Elite and testosterone go together like - well, men and women.

Unostentatiously butch in a Mayfair/Savile Row manner, sure to draw compliments for the genuinely male.

Close to my favourite fragrance so far. Big, fresh opening. I know that sometimes people are led in their description of the juice by its actual colour but this really does smell 'green'! Lasts all day and eventually settles into a resinous, yet still fresh scent. Just love it.

This doesn't work well for me, it seems too heavy and strong. I feel like I am wearing 1980's Polo. There is just something heavy and overpowering about this one. It may work better on others, but it is not for me.

Hearty green and crisp perfume. Huge bouquet of vetiver and moss that lasts well past 9+ hours of wear. Heavy citrus opening and a good punch of juniper and fir balsam resin. One of the few green perfumes I rather enjoy!

Zesty citrus with woods and burned sugar. The citrus is paired with oakmoss which gives an old school vibe, in the lanes of Chanel's Pour Monsieur and YSL Pour Homme. And the combination of lavender and juniper is adding a nice aromatic experience.

Genre: Fougère

Floris Elite seems to me a rather staid, conventional aromatic fougère composition. All of the pieces are duly assembled and in the right place. Lavender? Check. Coumarin? Check. Bergamot? Check. Geranium? Check. Dash of spice? Check. Maybe even a touch of oakmoss. The result? A very traditional “barbershop” style masculine that, while perfectly serviceable, competes in very crowded territory.

Bigger, more ambitious alternatives like Jules, Equipage, Lauder for Men, or Arquiste’s new Él offer greater complexity and character. Brighter, sprightlier competitors like Aramis Tuscany per Uomo offer more grace and humor. All stand on the broad shoulders of Azzaro pour Homme, granddaddy of the genre, which still smells richer and deeper than the Floris at a fraction of the price.

Nice enough, in the end, but liable to get lost in the shuffle.
