I am sitting by a pool in mid-June, the sun warms my skin, a breeze comes through, the sound of song sparrows. I am sipping a gin fizz. Bossa nova plays on the radio. There's freshly laundered linens drying on a line. The grass has just been mowed, there are citrus groves in the periphery. Life feels pure, a fresh repose. I've put the anxieties of the future aside for now.

This is Carven Eau Vive (90s redux).

The vintage fragrance is way better than the version made after 1995. The original is a crisp citrus fragrance with notes of lemon, geranium, sandalwood and patchouli.I have read that as a marketing ploy, it was allowed to be sampled on all Air France flights. And that it was the first edt not derived from a parfum. If you want it I have it.

Nice, fresh fragrance. Citrus top note, with juniper and cilantro. Dry down is more mellow and powdery. Sadly, hard to find.
