Dior Homme Sport 2008 Review:

DHS starts out wonderfully with a very strong lemon note. I find that a lot of citrus openings can be too sharp and harsh sometimes. Fortunately, this is not the case with this fragrance. The lemon is bright and smooth. It immediately grabs your attention without having the abrasive feel that some openings have. It's done perfectly.

The ginger note follows the opening, moving to the forefront of the fragrance. It mixes with with lemon making for a spicy, sweet, and slightly sour smell. It's an amazing composition that stands out on it's own in a market that has countless "fresh" fragrances trying to achieve the same goal. This just does it better. It's an energizing and invigorating smell, that will keep your attention for the length of your wearing. The fragrance is rounded of with a smooth and creamy sandalwood base.

I think this is a scent that will appeal to the majority of people in their 20's and 30's. That being said, anyone can wear this one. It's fresh, but at the same time very classy. This would fit perfectly in a number of situations. These situations could range from work to a date at the park on a beautiful Summer's day.

This is currently my favorite "Sport" fragrance. Encre Noire Sport is a close second. They rotate depending on my mood.

I haven't tried the 2012 or 2017 version yet. This one is definitely a hit though. It's a shame it's become so hard to find.

At least in theory, this is a lemony citrus cologne supported by lavender, ginger, and herbs. Yes, those are all there, but there are also strong aquatic components, both a 90's "marine" note and a chlorine undertone that gives the illusion of a hot swimming pool. The marine/aquatic elements are very much the star of the show, as the lemon and herbs fade quickly. This all happens on top of a rich, creamy faux ambergris.

I think 2nosedtwin hits the nail on the head, describing this having elements of L'Eau d'Issey (that "marine" note) and Cool Water (lavender over aquatics), though the creamy base attempts to elevate it a bit. That being said, this very much smells like a cheap cologne with a fancy base, which is awkward for me. Simultaneously trying too hard and not hard enough, I find the combination of smells unappealing.

Dior Homme Sport - Dior
Lends its wet sticky watery-fresh ginger note straight from L'eau d'Issey and the cooked-herbs on hedione-seebreeze one from Cool Water. Very nice grapefruit and lemon opening, very zesty and energetic together with some anisic-lavender. The natural dried-rooted spicy ginger is a great lead-out for the sparkling green vetiver which shines already through and camphorous-herbal rosemary adds some dry-earthy coolness. A perfectly fitted sticky-sweet resinous cederwood with a deep 'woodchips' note provides some grip and leads to a slight salty ambroxan/iso-e-super base with a tone of santal. Energetic, refined and elegant at the same time, this makes a great leisure perfume or a re-vitalizing tonic after extensive exercise. Nice work, but a bit too thin and leightweight smelling. Semi-thumbs up.

Energetic, zesty with a beautiful citrus and sandalwood combination. 8.5/10

Pure bitter lemon pledge, all I get is a sour lemon note and bitter ginger, could not wear this one. Hint of iris from original but does not work with lemon cleaner smell.

This is a pleasant surprise by DIOR.I have many Citrusy colognes in my collection but DHS is in different way.without hyperbole DIOR is the best maker for this cologne.yes it is clearly a DIOR.

It starts with Citrusy and Fresh quite uplifting and aromatic.gives me a lot of energy.a scent that brings pleasure inspiration.quite good to occupy the attention of people.

This EDT is GREAT example of what the active men should wear everyday. almost suitable for more occasions in the summer.overall it is a perfect choice.in my opinion not only this generally DIOR is something ultra of a perfume.
