Well, I've tested recently Bugatti Homme (Blue Box, transparent bottle) and my review is for this one of course (never tested the original old version). Yes, Foetidus is right (as always), the juice Is ordinary in components, somewhat unidentifiable in aroma and finally decidedly synthetic. Absolutely fleeting on my skin, sillage and longevity are pratically ghosts. The beginning is citric, vaguely spicy (fresh cardamom more than the yet present prickly pepper) and conventional while the dry down is basically a fresh rosey-soapy-musky vanilla with synthetic talky violet and rounding accents (tobacco, may be coffee). I find far more interesting the Pure Black version and perceive it as an unsuccessful attempt to perform a fresh refined semi-oriental a la Jaipur, Scudetia Ferrari Black, Opium or Heritage (Edp).

Bugatti what? Wonder if many of these reviews are mistakes, since descriptions (amber, vanilla) are more appropriate the Bugatti pour Homme ( same name) year 1992, aka "the original", a totally different and much, much better scent. I mean this: Ettore Bugatti the original, year 1992

A sweet ambery, woodsy and slightly fresh scent. Starts off sweet and has notes of tobacco and a faint dark roast coffee. The tobacco is persistent throughout and its longevity is pretty good. I like it.

I got the blue box, is a great scent, vanilla gourmand but fresh, not so warm and if you smell it close (only very close) you can notice a bit of coffee.

Nothing new but lovely.

Bugatti Pour Homme is paradox: On the one hand, it seems so familiar, typical, and ordinary. On the other hand I can't think of a particular fragrance that it is similar to. Its list of notes is as common as a fragrance list can be: patchouli, cedar, vetiver, amber, vanilla, musk, tonka. I find it a nice fragrance at first but by the time I experience its base, it has become quite a synthetic and unidentifiable fragrance. I don't actively dislike this fragrance, but I'm not interested in it, either, and its weak sillage and mediocre longevity make it a thumbs down.
