Asad is clearly a take on Sauvage Parfum or Elixir and it is neither.
The DNA is there, certainly, but there are nuances that make Asad different enough to be a flanker in its own right.
Said nuances include a mineral quality that recalls Amouage though vaguely, and there is a creaminess that comes through from time to time.
Elixir seems to magnify the next biggest scent in the area upon application; this leads to confusion as to what it actually smells like.
Asad does not do that.

Lots of hype for this Lattafa fragrance, with almost every influencer comparing this to Dior Sauvage Elixir. I have not tried Elixer, but what I can say is that this bears virtually no relation to Sauvage EdT. There is no grapefruit, no obvious ambroxen. Instead, this presents a sweet, apple, cinnamon, vanilla, amber and musk fragrance that is a definite winter fragrance with no hint of "blue" or "freshie" elements. It smells like Christmas to me. In terms of similarity to other fragrances, it smells just like a fragrance oil clone that I bought in a mall emulating Giorgio Armani's Red for Men.

It is a nice, semi-gourmandish scent, but not especially original. If this smells anything like Sauvage Elixir, I don't see the need to buy that one as this scent type is already well represented in my collection. Very good duration, sillage and projection. Thumbs up, at a 45 degree angle.
