Jaguar Mark II.

I recently finished watching the final season of Endeavour, and now whenever I see a Jaguar all I can think of is all the various incarnations of Inspector Morse.

My SOTD is Mandarine Basilic by Guerlain.

And this makes me think of Foxbins. I do hope the reason we haven't heard from her is that she's having a smashing time on holiday. I can't help but worry a little bit about a person travelling alone.

Joining the vetiver sync in Fat Electrician by Etat Libre d'Orange.

It's kinda fun, but I'm not convinced vetiver belongs in a gourmand scent. The chestnut cream +vanilla is a bit sweet for my taste -- it would be interesting to compare it side by side with Castaña from Cloon Keen Atelier, the only other chestnut scent I know, which also contains vetiver.

I know @Ebenas loves this one, and I usually jibe with her tastes, but I guess not so much this time.

Back in the City of Light, perfume ground zero, which is smelling rather ripe due to mounds of rubbish (bin collectors on strike). Tried Yuzu from my Acqua di Parma minis - distinctly underwhelming and no match for l'Arôme des Déchets wafting around the city...

@Cookbot has reminded me of Fat Electrician - which would have had more of a fighting chance against the ambient today than puny Yuzu.

Paris = Flowers + Garbage

Haha! I wonder if the Etat Libre d'Orange boutique in Paris is experiencing an uptick in sales of I Am Trash -- "Les Fleur du Déchet".

@JoM68 Thanks for sharing the review of Rosa Rossa. I recently tried the forte version and quite liked it. It was actually more fruity than it was floral. A nice peach. I’m a little on the fence about getting some for spring/summer. I’ll probably save my pennies for something on my want list, but I wasn’t into perfume before the bee bottles disappeared and this is probably the closest I’ll get. They’re quite charming, those AA bee bottles!
