Thank you, that is so kind of you. I've been spending the last couple of months with my pup, Chloe, who has now crossed the bridge. ... it's been really tough.

I’m so sorry to hear that, Ahimsa ā¤ļøšŸ«‚ My deepest condolences for your loss.

I’m really grateful that you were able to spend those last months with her. She must have crossed with a lot of love.

SOTD and SOTE is Night Blossom. Tuberose is one of those smells I'm at a loss as to why I like it so much; having had zero preconceptions about it when I smelled it the first time (and liking it), I was very surprised to find out the associations that others had about it after! :ROFLMAO: To me tuberose was (is) just a nice, slightly idiosyncratic white floral.

I've also tried French Flower from Matiere Premiere and Tuberoza from Nishane, which were both nice enough renditions of it--granted the former did end up giving me a bit of an unfortunate headache when I wore the sample a second time...

But Night Blossom is my favorite take on tuberose so far, opening with a crisp peppery opening that reminds me of a Japanese whiskey and drying down to something dark, rooty, and maybe even incense-y. Along with Venezia from the same house (a jasmine sambac centric fragrance), this is a bit of a comfort scent for me, haha.

I'd be curious to know what this group thinks about Coco Mad. I'm not familiar with it myself, but I get the sense that a lot of perfumistas think it's a bit ... flamboyant?
I can see that. I never really came around to the original. Iā€˜m surprised so many people apparently wear it. It’s a pretty darn big dose of parch. I’m guessing perfumistas have been there, done that and got tired of it. Plus, it’s ubiquitous, apparently, so it’s a smell-alike situation. I find the intense version to be less flamboyant. When it’s not oversprayed, that is.

And you'll notice the complete lack of response to my question about it among this group. The silence probably speaks volumes.

Hello everyone. Been busy with life but all is well. Tomorrow is our 8th year Anniversary together, Giancarlo & I.

Today I wore this and loved its carroty-flower smell that will (always) remind of my summer trip last year in Puerto Rico:
