Yesterday, I sprung for a FB of Hermès Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate so that's what I'm wearing. I'm sure I'll really enjoy it over time. I purchased it at the Hermès store and got several generous sized samples including Osmanthus Yunnan and a couple of the garden series.

@ mikeperez23 Mike!!! I got a FB of Poivre Samarcande, that beautiful fragrance you introduced me to in Chicago. Just one sniff and I was transported back to the meet-up years ago. It's divine and I know you're a fan.

It's raining again. I have to admit that I love the rain and it's so refreshing after all those years of drought.

A tiger scratching post today. There were several of these scattered around the forest, it appears that each tiger has a favorite tree in their area. I'm wearing La Religieuse today, my latest purchase. I tested it at Hamad Int'l Airport but bought it from a discounter at half the price of duty free. I added a little squirt of civet to dirty it up a bit.

I love Rhubarbe Ecarlate. I think it's so versatile, and you will wear the heck out of it.

Good morning, all.

Feel better, @ineespenes ❤️‍🩹

@foxbins, the things that you’ve seen are amazing! 🐅

Thank you so kindly, @Adonna ❤️ and @HouseOfPhlegethon ❤️

Enjoy John Wick, @Adonna! My husband and I are going to see it on Sunday, and I can’t wait.

So I went to my appointment yesterday at around 4:00. Took the boys with me, who waited patiently in an adjoining area with their tablets.

My dentist was wonderful as usual, lots of laughs and talk before we got started. He knows my mother, so we chatted a bit about her upcoming trip and her move. We shared a childhood trauma or two that we shouldn’t have laughed about, but did. Then we got started.

The procedure was a bit more than I had anticipated. He and the hygienist were wonderful the whole time, and the appointment itself went smoothly and without a hitch. Come back in 2 weeks to remove the sutures, come back in 6 months (!) for the next step.

I was sad and quiet for some reason. Nothing went wrong, and the molar is so far back that it’s not missed or noticeable. But I was oddly quiet while I collected the boys and made my next appointment. Still numbed up and reeling a bit, I stopped at the supermarket for some milk and soft foods. The boys chose some Pokémon Cards for being good. Then we turned towards home.

I opened the front door, the boys filed up behind me. I went downstairs to greet my husband, who was in the office. Because I had had a mask on, I hadn’t noticed the bit of blood next to my bottom lip. I’d forgotten that my cheek was also packed with cotton, making me look much worse than I was. I was still very stoic at this point.

My husband looked up, and his face immediately changed. “Ay, bendito,” he cried. “Awww, look at your poor face!” He opened his arms for a hug, and my face immediately crumpled and I turned into a big baby for my hug, lol. I didn’t cry, but my eyes got glassy and my nose, red. I let myself be held and coddled for a moment before I gathered myself back up.

It hurt a lot more than I thought it would after the novacaine wore off. A lot. My dentist had warned me the bone procedure would result in a bit of pain, and that it was normal. I’m sure that if I had taken some Advil, I would have felt much better - but I’m stubborn, and I took nothing, so I suffered from my own hand. The night was rough. This morning, however, I feel great. Much better, just a weird headache.

SOTD is Parfum Satori Hyouge, in a sync with @Tea_Lilly. Absolutely beautiful.

Have a great day!

Uh-oh. Sounds like it wasn't a happy first encounter. My advice for all those Hermes eaux is to spray more heavily than usual. Maybe 6 or 8 sprays if you normally do four.

Man, between the porcupines and the tigers, the poor trees in that area really take a beating.

Not sync’d today. I think I need more musk. 🤓😎
I’m wearing Portrayal Woman today. This one doesn’t get much love from the community, but I like it.
In fact, Tinkerbell is trying to turn this decant into a FB, mostly because the real bottle is so pretty! (Yes; I just “anthropomorphised” a figurine. 🤣)
I don’t need a FB, but watch me cry when they’re gone. 🙄
The purple lace isn’t so pretty, but it came an eBay seller as a gift. It was too sweet not to use…at least for a while.

Oops, poor phrasing. What I meant to say is that I will enjoy it for a long time. For some odd reason, it smells strong to my nose. For the past year, I've become a 1-2 spray person for almost every scent so maybe two sprays will suffice for Eau De Rhubarbe. We'll see. I can always reapply if necessary or switch to another scent mid-day. I love it and it is a wardrobe expander for my majority oriental & gourmand collection. ❤️❤️❤️

SOTM: Amyris Femme- This is so different from the others in his lineup. It doesn’t smell molecular. I really enjoy this
SOTA: Portrayal Woman- People don’t really dig this one. Why? It’s unique, to me. No woody base. Just the elemi. Very interesting.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day!

That bottle alone is worth whatever it takes!

SOTD is Parfum Satori Hyouge, in a sync with @Tea_Lilly. Absolutely beautiful.

Have a great day!
I am so sorry the procedure hurt so much.

Hyouge was really beautiful and I recommend it highly. I would categorize it as a green, translucent tea/floral with aquatic leanings. I smelled lilac at first, but later it turned to jasmine. It lasts an average amount - but this is expected as a lighter scent.

I thought it smelled very natural and I love it in the way I love (some of the) the Hermes Jardin series.

As always, @kosui no kaori , it is fun and informative to synch with you!

@Reiu - an excellent recommendation. We are going to look at synching some more of the Parfum Satori line.
