@kosui no kaori Good Luck with helping your parents move--nothing too heavy, I hope! It's a lot of work--I'm sure they appreciate your support.

I am still doing well, dental recovery-wise. The assistant called me and said since I wasn't very swollen that I could advance a day--I'm to start gentle swishing today have cool soft foods. Nothing French, I daresay, but more than purees and protein shakes. I am still very content with this gift I'm giving to my future self.

I looked at my pile of clean laundry and realized that if I never hang up my clothes I will never have clothes in my closet. Can I live only wearing things at the top of the pile and replacing just a few favorites through small bits of laundry? And if I can, why have I kept anything on the bottom of the pile? I rebelled against minimalist thinking and tossed the whole business onto the bed and back onto the settee, upside down. More is more!

It's overcast and drizzly here...I am going out to meander my landscaping with my electric pruners. I am old now. I head out and think "Don't fall down." which is nothing I ever thought before.

I am scented beautifully in Guerlain Apres L'ondee.

I'll report back on how many t-shirts make it to hangers. At this point, I have to put them into the dryer with a wet cloth to fluff out the wrinkles.

It will be a gift to my future self.😉

edit to add: I see I originally gave Apres L'ondee 2 stars. I remember being disappointed with my sample and thinking "what a bunch of over hype." So it's odd that I eventually realized I couldn't forget it and had to order a full bottle. It's super odd how often I reach for it now and how every time a spray it, I think, "This is perfect." I think it's a quiet scent for cozy days and stillness of mind. Peace in a bottle. I have to go back now to my wardrobe and give it 5 stars.

Update on the new car.
We traded our old Evoque in for a newer model of the same car.
It’s an automatic so I’ll need some time to get used to that.😬

It was your photo yesterday that brought it to top of mind. I do love it, though; but it's just short and gets lost in the crowd. I'm vowing to put it in heavy rotation this summer.

I've also been wanting to do a sample pass called "Sui Generis Perfumes". Dune and Or Black would be at the top of the list.

My ISP no longer supports my seven year old modem, so I bought a new one and will hook it up today. If you never hear from me again, you will know why. I can fix mechanical stuff but it takes me a while to figure out computer stuff. Mostly I get there in the end but it takes a very long time. Today is supposed to be hot so I'm wearing Mediterraneo, tea and citrus, but it doesn't last on me. I will keep spraying.

A chaotic fruity floral opening drying down to a salty musky vanilla with a hint of spice.
I'm not real sure what to make of this.

Pre-syncing with Patou Pour Homme - Lavender is something that I didn't always get along with for the longest of time. A few scents such as Patou Pour Homme was the ice breaker for getting acquainted with this note.

Helping my Mom move stuff from her room today, and came across some wedding pictures. I wanted to share 🙂

To make this post scent related, I also adopted a Cartier La Panthere, which reminds me of my friend @Tea_Lilly.

In Japan, all engagement rings and wedding bands are traditionally platinum. This tradition is probably different now, and I’m sure many modern couples go for gold or silver.

My parents had four outfit changes during the ceremony. I believe it was 1982. I was conceived on the honeymoon. Whoops.

My Mom asked me to block out her face in the third picture, because she was bleary from crying 😆

They are now divorced, and both happily remarried to their respective spouses, who are perfect for them.

Been a crazy week, miss ya'll.

I wore this today

Lots of splashes of it since I knew it would be light (I had an xray appointment this morning) and because temps are warming up. It's splashable, without getting cloying. Although, I must admit, most people in Miami probably smell me and think that I have doused myself in Baby Cologne (from those huge honking plastic bottles in the supermarket) because the top notes of the Caron and Baby Cologne is very close in smell. I don't care - I love it anyway.

((hugs)) all around for all of those that need 'em - or even if you don't need 'em but want one anyway!
