Morning all. I have today and Monday off, which is very welcome after a very boring week of work. Today we're off to Scotney Castle which has a 14th century moated castle and victorian mansion and gardens. Definitely getting my monies worth from my National Trust membership.

In sync (?) with Amouage - Interlude Woman. It comes across as more turbulent than angry to my nose.

Good morning all !. Decided to go with a gourmand theme this week. This was a limited edition in collaboration with H&M that rarely gets mentioned here (Mike Perez is a fan if I remember correctly ). Freshly baked lightly spiced bread dipped in chocolate that smells positively delicious.

Today I craved some En Avion and remembered the tiny 1970s (?) bottles of Caron sitting around in my drawer for ages, of which I had an En Avion and an Acaciosa.
So, today was the day to crack it open. Well, this is the first time that I noticed a slight difference in a vintage version compared to the newer extrait. It is in fact a tad greener, overall cooler in feel than the new-ish.
At times it reminded me slightly of the way Maitre Parfumeur embedded jasmine in their masculines, e.g. Centaure.
Wine o'clock or Cocktail Hour today needs some careful thinking...

Good morning.

Not synching today, because I found a miniature bottle of vintage Y by YSL, whilst having a tidy up, and felt compelled to wear it.

Soooo green and sophisticated! It seems to demand a crisp white shirt and well-ironed jeans. I can do that. 😄

Synching today with Mugler Angel Elixir - from the seemingly never-ending department store sample pile.
If I were expecting Angel, I'd be (h)angry too.

Last night and today - caramelized popcorn, cardboard box, mothballs (though this is likely the white floral combo dominated by ylang ylang), and a hint of fecal-leaning musk - all of which fades in and out on my skin.

My nose is a bit wonky this morning, so I'll probably drain the sample another day to make sure my impressions are accurate and to give this poor thing a fair shake.

It's not unwearable and it's not a fruity floral. I am grateful for both.

lt didn't rain here yesterday, so l completed the planned gardening task, & avoided getting cut to ribbons by wearing long sleeves & gloves. lt made for very sweaty work, though! 🥵 lt's sunny here right now, but with a higher chance of rain later, so l think it's time to spring-clean the kitchen. l'm synching in Santal Volcanique today.

The Mister had a blood test (for possible walking pneumonia) and X-rays yesterday. He [allegedly] has a compression fracture in one of his vertebra. We will be seeking another opinion with an orthopedic surgeon / doctor, as was recommended by our primary doctor. He was only prescribed OTC medicine, nothing stronger. This, was not good news. He is almost in tears at times, from the pain. Side note: doctors in our area do Not prescribe narcotics anymore - even if you beg.
