Oddly, a strikingly inexpensive Homme from the brand of G. Bellini (actually nothing but an in-house bargain fragrance brand of German discounter store giant Lidl).
At an unlikely going rate of roughly 3-4 GBP/USD/EUR for a bottle of 50 or even more mls, this one seems to actually correct some aspects where "blue" fragrances like BDC or Sauvage might fall flat-adding an increased layer of both complexity and performance to a 2010s mainstream perfume theme/recurring fad.
Frederic Malle Synthetic Jungle! I always found it at least interesting but went back and forth on how much I liked it. I haven't worn it since last summer, but today in extremely damp humid heat it called to me and it is just perfect. The base really cuts through heat and humidity and I can really sense the subtle patchouli doing it's thing giving a touch of earth to the otherwise bright green.
It is nice to have an alternative to citrus and white musks that can stand up to the heat. Apparently the trick is to wear it on days where the weather actually feels like a jungle!
