Hello my fellow fragrance enthusiasts! My former school--the one I just retired from--asked me to write and deliver this year's 8th grade graduation keynote speech. I live in Sacramento, and the weather will likely be hot--guessing mid 90's with low humidity. The event will be held indoors in the auditorium, but it does get warm in there with large audiences.

Of these that I own, which do you suggest I wear for this special occasion? it's truly an honor for me, and I'm quite excited!

--Acqua di Parma Colonia
--Mugler Cologne (Come Together)
--Dior Eau Sauvage edt
--Guerlain Vetiver edt
--Eau De L'Occitan edt

Thank you!

First in for "clothes!"

What a wonderful honour for you! I'm sure you'll give an amazing speech. While I don't know your skin reacts with fragrances in high heat, Acqua di Parma Colonia or Guerlain Vetiver would be excellent choices.

Congratulations, fingers crossed and best wishes!

Personally considering all choices mentioned in the thread starting post equally appropriate and same with the suggestions mentioned so far, but would narrow this down to either ADP Colonia or l'Occitan-both highly elegant while still remaining versatile, clean cut yet also mature, gentlemanly and overall just flawlessly crafted.

Any of those would work. Something light, don't overdo it etc.

For any sort of formal event, I'd always recommend wearing what you know - as in you've worn in many times before, know how much is too much, know whether it gets cloying/annoying after a few hours. You avoid any problems that way. Fragrance shouldn't be giving you a headache (literal or otherwise) in these situations.

Congratulations on the speaking engagement!

Fragrance advice: the most luxurious, dressy scent in your collection.

You’re looking for something that makes you feel confident and successful.

Go light on the trigger, in any case. Speaking engagements, nervous energy, bright lights, dress clothes including jacket — gets warm up there quickly. Fragrances bloom fast under those conditions. Just one or two sprays max.

Congratulations, Pippin. I concur that any of them would work. And just to mix things up, I’ll go with Eau Sauvage EDT. Best of luck! 👨‍🎓
