Judging by your user name, I’m guessing you’d like it.
Well yes, but then I've read that it smells a little like moldy earth, and I absolutely don't want to smell like Dracula's crypt and coffin. 😄 Of course, it cannot be that bad if Isabelle Doyen made it.

More interesting finds at thrift shops:

NIB 2021 Mugler Angel EDP which has turned brown but smells fine.
Shalimar EDC (red dot, round splash bottle), little less than half full.
Cabotine de Gres with about 1/8 of the juice remaining.
NIB Avon "Musk Wood."
NIB Dunhill Custom for men.
A really cool looking old decanter that had what I think is Opium that has visually turned to motor oil. I added some alcohol to loosen it. It's definitely oxidized to the point of being unwearable. Really great little bottle though.

Edit: Actually the Opium is not so far gone, the oxidized notes subside after a bit and it's OK.

Well done for a special fragrance!
Have you tested their latest release, "Écrin de Fumée"? I think I'll have to test it again but I liked it a lot the first time.
Thank you! A total impulse buy. Blind.
No, I have not tried their latest.

Just bought Frederic Malle Sale Gosse. Had been thinking about it since last summer and FOMO got the best of me as I heard this might have just been a special edition and not still in production (though still fairly easy to find at the moment).

Yea when I get the bottle I'll follow up with a more thorough review. From the times I sampled it I remember it being a very happy summery neroli fragrance with the suggestion of pink bubble gum at the top that never goes too sweet. My main hesitation about buying it sooner is the neroli note reminds me of Cologne Indelible which I have, although a bit brighter and less musky. But Sale Gose did have great longevity for a fresh fragrance.

It is too expensive for a "fun" pefume but I'm ordering it from France where it comes out to about $230, the US retail $330 is a bit hard to swallow. Frederic Malle is my favorite brand and I still regret not getting Dries Van Noten when I had the chance, so I didn't want to let this one slip away if it is indeed limited edition.

@Varanis Ridari has a great and thorough review of it here

I bought another 4ML sample of Cartier's L'Heure Convoitee II.

The first time I sampled it, I thought it was beautiful and incredibly unique, with its lighter-than-air composition of champagne bubbles, carnation, and photorealistic strawberry. But I immediately dismissed it as "too feminine" and gave the sample away to a coworker. It's haunted me ever since so I'm bringing it back for another try.

As an aside, there are so many times I've given perfumes away to friends and family, samples, decants, or even full bottles, and then found myself regretting it and wanting to have them again. But it also gives me such joy to share perfume! What's a fragrance lover to do?

Gorgeous, gorgeous scent! To answer the question “What’s a fragrance lover to do?” having a generous bottle might solve both ends of that problem. :giggle:
