You had me at Macassar!Recently acquired.
Harrods for Men by Floris. Aftershave, 100ml.
Being a bit of a fan of Floris fragrances, I've been curious about this one for a while. As usual (with these relatively obscure and unknown ones) there's very little information around about it.
Being launched in 1981, I kind of expected a typical (British) laid back lavender/mossy barbershoppy fragrance in the typical Floris style. I couldn't have been further from the truth, this is a really interesting fragrance and quite different to what I expected. It opens with pine and dries out to a leathery moss.
The closest fragrance I can relate this to is Rochas Macassar but without the coconut note which is something I don't like about Macassar. It's not as smooth or as refined as Macassar but certainly has the same fragrance profile.
Macassar was launched in 1980, this one a year later in 1981, which makes me wonder if Macassar was the inspiration for this. A hidden gem for sure.

P.S. For me, the best Roja's are the "Made in the UK" versions (the earlier days of Roja)
It now says "Made in England". I think the change on the boxes occurred around 2019, and I am not sure if it was due to the Brexit movement or some other reason. Nonetheless, the older versions of Roja Parfums have "Made in UK" and not "Made in England" labeled on the box and sometimes on the sticker on the bottle bottom as well. This is just a rough guide to determine the age of Roja bottles along with the paper labels that were on older bottles.where are they made now?
Vintage Adidas is very underrated, IMO.
Spotted this in the drug store today. Couldn’t pass up a 100ml bottle
eau de sport was an instant love for me, i guess it's my favorite fresh fragrance after trying alot of fresh/sport fragrances on the market.
