Estimate this bottle 70s, early 80s, too bad the seller did not have the box, should be a 110/ 118 ml in that range..got it for good price. Cheap cap tough lol. QUADRILLE, POUR HOMME, PORTOS, Cialenga are my Balenciaga family...all quality stuff imo.

Two perfumes arrived yesterday, from the house Roberta di Camerino. I don't know why, but I thought it could be interesting to test them. And bingo, both smells very nice (only sniffing from the bottle.) Both are in the directory, with very few reviews, but as always, when it's reasonably cheap, I buy !
Please note the very uncommon shape of the bottle of L'Uomo R, and another weird thing: neither the bottle nor the box have the faintest indication of size printed on them. The box has no ingredients list, no size, nothing. The bottle has a tiny sticker at the bottom, saying Lic UTIF and 162 (allegedly ml), and that's all.

New to me but I quite like the way it has the belt buckle logo then slips it back in the R... nice design. Was this a leather good company that made belts by any chance? or just a logo they liked?

This is not a common occurrence but you bought one I have.... the Worth Je Reviens. I will admit mine the box was trashed and I dumped it, and even the cap had seen better days.... but it was fairly full.

All I remember at this point is that I don't think I liked it too much as didn't wear it much after initial tries... (confirmed in wardrobe last wear in 2021....). So was this one you were specifically after? Or just came with a lot? Curious what your comments will be on it, and maybe I'll revisit it soon.....

There was a seller with a number of things I wanted—everything in that post but the Le Jardin Retrouvé and Trumper—and I'd been curious about Je Reviens, so I worked it into a bundle where the price was quite good (not that Je Reviens EdT tends to be terribly pricey).

How does the aftershave compare to the EDT?
I'll let you know when I get the Eau de Toilette! (I do have one on the way).

I had some Antaeus in the 80's but honestly couldn't remember what it was like so I thought I'd revisit it. The aftershave was very nice, it didn't last that long but long enough. It reminded me a lot of Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme, dark gothic rose!

Vintage 19ml of Cristalle from the 70s or early 80s according to the seller. Smells fantastic and although I love this one it's only a very occasional wear, so this and my vintage 4ml mini should last me a lifetime. :)

63E = November 1979 according to my batch code list.

Nice find, hope you enjoy it!
I've only smelled the later juice of Cristalle. I'm sure the earlier bottle will smell even better.

It's my least favourite of Henri Robert's creations for Chanel so I thought I'd start with it and then focus on the ones I prefer. :) The difference is subtle, but definitely there, it's just a tad richer and fuller, really. There seems to be more variation in the vintage and modern versions of No 19 EDT that I've tried so I'm focussing on that one next. Last will be my favourite composition of his, Pour Monsieur EDT. I've got 6 backup bottles of the latest formulation so now I can devote some time to hunting down some nice vintage versions!

Has anyone here tried any of Henri Robert's other fragrances? I'm really curious about Coty's Le Muguet du Bois and Bourjois' Ramage.

That's been my experience of No 19 of the two I've tried. The one from the 70's is an almost entirely different fragrance to the later post 1995 one I have. The earlier vintage one is smooth, silky and refined the later one quite harsh and bright.

I shall very much look forward to your findings on the Pour Monsieur versions and curious to see if they mirror mine.

H. Robert also composed Le Dandy for d'Orsay, and likely a number of other for the house, as he was chief perfumer there for several years. He almost certainly composed more for Coty, as well.
