Creed Scent of Oger - To me it comes off as a strong Eau de Cologne scent on steroids! Its long lasting and performance exceeds my expectation. It's suppose to have potpourri but I get mostly citrus and spices notes. Works really well when the weather is warm.

Vintage 1970s "Y" perfume oil by Yves Saint Laurent, courtesy of a big old Basenotes sweetheart. Preceded by a lengthy shower and many lashings of vintage "Y" bath powder.

Oh, goodness. Your disclaimer "I do not own any pink lace" cracked me up.

The kindness of BNers is wonderful. I'm currently wearing Orgueil by Lucien Lelong today from a sample from a very kind BNer. Sweet fruit, ambergris, spiciness and maybe some leather. I could also be influenced by the pyramid notes What I really love about it is the balance - it's comforting and interesting at the same time. My husband was a fan, which never hurts.

SOTM: was Embrujo de Sevilla (I believe it is perfume concentration). This concentration/bottle was all about the dry wood, shaken with some spice. Unfortunately no orange or citrus. I will try again in the future in case it needs to settle a bit after shipping. I have some of the colonia which to my nose has a beautiful sweet orange early in the development. The juiciness balances the wood/spice to keep it from being as dry.

With vintage it sometimes seems like every bottle is its own little kingdom, and although you can read its history, and the travel guide- until you get there and interact, you have no idea what is really going on

Honestly, I was looking for my bottle of McGregor to synch with @Ali AD, but I couldn’t find it in time to finish cooking a late dinner, so I grabbed this off the shelf instead. The Lancetti’s dry herbs and citrus went well enough with shrimp curry, and the sweet patchouli in the base made for a decent dessert (albeit with some “hamster cage” cedar). Pretty good stuff.

Now, where’s that McGregor…
