Syncing with Guerlain Vetiver EDT

Not aware of another vetiver by Hermes, but they should totally do one- maybe a light and breezy type, stick it in the un Jardin series? Or the colored bottle Eau series (or whatever the series is called with Eau d’Orange Verte).I bet I'd love that. Too bad it's virtually impossible to find.
I really wanted to sync up in vetiver today, but when I looked at my choices, everything seemed too raw, too brash, too... big. I seem to have collected mostly rooty vetivers, and I wanted something lighter, more carefree. Then I noticed I hadn't worn this for almost a year; oh well, when in doubt, go with the classics, right?

Does anyone know whether Hermes ever made a pure vetiver scent, something other than their Bel Ami Vetiver/Vetiver Tonka/Terre Vetiver? The only one of those that I like is the Bel Ami.
First time I tried it, I thought... meh... nice but light. And I have to say that this one... really scratches my itch after a few wearing. The juniper is light but adds that little 'zing' I love. Kind of a less creamy, vetiver-centric Frapin L'Humaniste... if that makes sense. I might go for a full bottle, because it's really a mood lifter. How's that one, Andy?
TdH EI Vetiver is the 'purest' vetiver Hermes ever did. I am not a fan of Vetiver Tonka (too mainstream for my tastes), and have my TdH EI Vetiver for sale, because I find it unbalanced. That said, like you I own and love Bel-Ami Vetiver, where I find the extra vetiver shot to perfect balance the original Bel-Ami (one of the rare occurences where I prefer the flanker to the original).Does anyone know whether Hermes ever made a pure vetiver scent, something other than their Bel Ami Vetiver/Vetiver Tonka/Terre Vetiver? I agree, Vetyverio is veeeery nice. Both the EDT, which is light, citrus-y, ethereal, and perfectly blended, ideal for warmer days, as well as the EDP, which is slightly rootier, with a beautiful supporting rose (rare in a vetiver fragrance), perfect for colder days.Have you tried Diptyque’s Vetyverio? I’ve only sprayed at the store, but it seemed like a light and airy vetiver that might work on days when the gnarly vetivers are too much. From my collection, this is how I use Escentric 03, though it’s got a couple odd notes mixed in (weirdly sour citrus & slightly funky leather, which in combination with the darker vetiver make me think of a Corona with lime), so might not be to everyone’s taste.

How do you enjoy this one compared to Wonderwood? (I've only tried the latter.)Pre-syncing with
Wonderoud by Comme des Garcons
Very noticeable vetiver, interplaying with woods and spices. Call it synthetic if you wish. I personally prefer to call it a cuddly comfort fragrance.
