Prolly been mentioned earlier in the thread?
Carvens (new) Vetiver in the green bottle - wow is pretty smart stuff.
I had written it off and sampled quite a few times in the past. But its just the huge sharp citrus and alcohol opening that threw me - but wozza holler! Picked it up today and pretty impressed. And you know what - its not far off from the Vintage Carven 'Original' Vetiver (man/figurine on bottle versions) in the dry down.

Vertigo by Criminal Elements is one of the best vetivers alongside many others mentioned in this thread; Its dry, dirty, sharp and beautiful

Also adding Anthropologie Vetiver Blanc to the list

You've intrigued me, yet it seems hard to find (Vertigo).. arg

I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with this new vetiver purchase:

Elie Saab Vetiver Essence No.6

FYI, it's currently on sale at Fragrancenet for only $52, which is an absolute bargain in my opinion.

I'm surprised not to see Parterre's Root of All Goodness on your list. It goes on a little citrus green, but the vetiver comes through as velvety smooth and the addition of hyssop on the heart along with labdanum is exquisite.

Jo Malone Vetiver & Golden Vanilla is a recent release that's very nice. It's the round, woody, slightly herbal kind of vetiver. It reminds me slightly of Vetiver Insolent, which is more spicy and a touch greener.

I tried it last week, very nice indeed. Similar structure as Diptyque Vetyveryo EDP imo, with vanilla in place of rose. Not worth the retail price tag, but I may rethink about it when it'll hit discounters.
Added to the list, thanks for the reminder!

It is in the list! The opening is very synthetic indeed, one of the few vetiver frags I really hate. But thanks for the update!

Thanks for the info. That said, in this thread I'd rather stick to frags that are currently available on the market, or on ebay (for a decent pricing).
I'll thus skip Vertigo, but will add Vetiver Blanc. By the way, could you please tell me your impressions in a few words for Vetiver Blanc?
Thank you!

I did not, because I have never heard about this house. It's not even listed on Fragrantica. Probably only sold in the UK. That said, given your description and the (one) review on BN, I will definitely try to put my nose on that one asap. Thank you!
