Verdox alternative but more substantive?

I really love Verdox but it's so short lived... Givescone seemed to be somewhat of an alternative (although it would need a modifier to get that somewhat woody, dark shade that's in Verdox). Sadly Givescone only lasts just a bit longer... I'm now trying Delta damascone (for the first time) which is quite different (less apple, much more currant) but again, maybe with some modification it's suitable as an alternative.

Are there any other fruity AC's (or bases for that matter) with a red apple note (like in Verdox) that can be considered a middle note (or maybe even a base note)? I don't need it to be an exact Verdox equivalent.

P.S. I have Firmenich's Granny Smith 184059 D base here for the first time on a blotter (fresh, sour, bright green apple, not "sweet" and woody like Verdox), supposedly a middle note which again, with some modifiers (Delta Damascone?) could serve the purpose. No idea yet if that will work, just an idea I'm gonna try...

Applelide lasts longer than verdox. Galaxolide, verdox and prenyl acetate were used in a famous brand of Apple fragranced products. Admittedly most fruit notes can only be considered as middle notes.

Yes, I already tried Edenolide which is supposed to be an "improved version" of Edenolide (http://lmrnaturals.iff.com/en/site-services/online-compendium-new/edenolide). Edenolide does invoke a "haze" of fruitiness but not the kind I'm after. I want it to be more upfront.

I already was under the impression fruity notes are almost always top- to relative short middle notes although I do have Cassifix which really is a basenote but that's not the note I'm after here either.

EDIT (kind of off topic): for the ones interested in the Firmenich's Granny Smith 184059 D base: after 5 hours on a blotter @10% it has started to develop into a much less fruity, almost cardboard like scent (reminds me of a scent I can't remember now). Definitely not linear. Not sure yet if it holds up in a blend; maybe with some supportive materials it's not as bad as it seems in isolation.

Have you considered trying some cashmeran? It is very complementary. Also, alpha damascone is the more apple-like of the family.

Do you mean complementary to Verdox (or one of the other materials I mentioned)?

If so: I do use it along Verdox in a blend (coincidentally) but it does not extend Verdox's substantivity; when it's gone, it's gone and that's pretty quick. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I mean it complements verdox so you might get the illusion of the verdox lasting longer.

Coniferan has twice the substantivty and smells similar, but leans a little more pear-like.

Almost had forgotten about that one. I've used it once for the pine note and I don't see it as a replacement for Verdox but certainly can be used to extend it or as a modifier for other materials. Thanks.

This is incorrect. Nectaryl is sold by PCW.

I'm surprised you cannot get Nectaryl in Europe. It is made by Gvaudan ( a Swiss company) and, looking on Good Scents, is supplied by many European and English companies.

I'm a hobbyist on a budget without a credit card so many suppliers are not an option for me (let alone whole salers).
The only suppliers I buy my materials from are: Hekserij (I'm Dutch myself), Perfumiarz, Scentfriends and Liaison Carbone.

Please feel free to mention others within the EU (PellWall/England is also expensive due to Brexit) for which I don't need a credit card and who sell small amounts (around 10g).

I have a vague recollection that your (or someone else's) lack of a credit card (how do you even get on the internet or have a phone?) has been discussed before, but you can buy a prepaid credit card & use that.

I don't have that recollection and I don't understand the "how do you even get on the internet or have a phone?" part... I don't see how that has anything to do with not owning a credit card. Also: only half of the consumers in the Netherlands (mainly middle- and upperclass) own a credit card (a few decades ago it was only about 15% to give you an idea how credit cards are not really the norm in the Netherlands).

Moreover: with my income I can't even get a normal credit card but since you mentioned prepaid credit cards (never heard of those) I will look into those. Thanks.

OK, sorry to make assumptions! Sloppily, these were based on my experiences in the US. But yes, prepaid credit cards are a thing!
