Hello to all. Does anyone know a reputable seller of Valencene in EU? Suggestions?
Thanks and good perfumed day to all.

Ops i didn't searched well, sorry for duplicated post.
Anyway thanks and yes, I know about Harry, but I wanted to try to exclude doganal crazy cost.

I found some European websites that sell terpenes, including natural valencene, but I don't know about that sites.

I´ve asked this question a while ago. The only seller on the european continent ended up being harry.

Another member suggested that the terpenes sold in such shops, or by herrlan, are of low quality. I´ve also found them to be far too expensive- I simply refuse to buy 5 gr of something for 40€, when i can get 25 gr of it for 39$.

I´ve ended up splitting an order from Perfumers Supply House in the USA with someone..

i now own a beautiful 25 gr bottle of Valencene, which will last me a long time. I´ve also got Sinensal, which i like even more.
Valencene is nice, but it's not quite as useful as Sinensal for long lasting orange accords. I've recently worked on an orange soliflore that has some legs to it. I don't use Valencene as it added a weird note during the drydown. The Sinensal is a key player alongside some nice "folded" oils, so-called sweet West Indies type and some Myrac Aldehyde and a few other bits and bobs to keep the note going strong for a number of hours. A bit boring, I suppose, but if orange is your thing and you like smelling of it for hours, watch this space!

Would you say that myrac aldehyde has some nice orange notes? Currently considering what i order next, and every shop lacks one, or two, materials which the others have in store. So i gotta set priorities.

Currently testing how long sinensal and valence last on strips. Haven´t noticed a weird drydown note, yet, but for me valencene somehow oscillates between different orange notes.

Yeah, I would say so, though not quite the same as Sinensal. For clarity I’m referring to the IFF product, so have no idea how variants perform or smell. But yes, it brings a long lasting orange-citrus note very reminiscent of the smell on your hands after plowing into an orange - that lovely pithy aroma.

Of the materials I tested on strips for this project, only the Sinensal and Myrac are detectable after 36 days. The Sinensal is used/dipped at 10% in ACM for a little more control but the Myrac is neat. The Valencene was one of the earlier materials to dissipate and before it did there was a weird woody synthetic aroma that I didn’t care for. Consequently, it didn’t make the final cut. Again, for clarity, I’m using Valencene from the same source as you.

I noticed your other thread and would definitely point you towards orange 5x or more for a long lasting note. That was on the strip for about 20 days or so before I no longer detected anything but an oily aroma, but not very reminiscent of any citrus fruit.

The point of this perfume was to capture eating an orange while slumped against a tree, wiping the juice off your chin and smelling your hands. Then grabbing the peel and smelling that. All while taking in the ocean off the coast of Dominica or anywhere else you might want to be in the Caribbean.

I digress…

If you list what else you have in mind I might be able to assist as this perfume is being revisited from a project I started four years ago and I've analysed many orange oils and materials in that time - might be that I've sampled what you're interested in purchasing. DM me if you want to keep it from public view.
