Have a sample of TF Oud wood. Like it after the first 5 minutes. There is something chemical in the top note but it bcomes more pleasing after a while. Dont believe there is any natural oud in the juice. Just bothers me that the first whiff is very strong like a cleaning fluid. Any comments on the top note?

Something about the oud accord in TF Oud Wood, Initio Oud For Greatness, Dunhill Icon Absolute, and some other designer ouds just smells like toilet disinfectant to me. It just kind of ruins those fragrances for me, but at least there are still other oud fragrances that I really enjoy...

Of all the fragrances of this type Floris Honey Oud is my favorite. It is rich, luxurious, hyper long lasting and comes in a 10ml spray which is plenty for this fragrance. Can’t lose with this one. In this case Tom Ford outdone by a much older option.

Floris also has one called Leather Oud which is more gutsy and bold.

I've always loved it . I used to get the body oil when it was sold and always have a beard oil on hand as well.

wear what you like. What speaks to you. Don't worry what others think. I keep seeing a recurring mention of Royal oud. I don't see the resemblance. RO is nice but far more mature and it has an herbal/musty smell to it. Which may not appeal to the starter set. TF is rather inoffensive IMO.

Anyone here a fan of Xerjoff Fars? Would you consider that an upgrade on Oud Wood, strong sweet opening with real oud under?
