Teone is very a generous individual. One of many examples: My first sample set was missing (read stolen) in - probably around mid 2019. Upon hearing about it, she sent me another set - no question asked. She, Sultan and Ish (of Royal Bengal Oud on Etsy) are probably the most generous perfumers, vendor/distiller who treat their customers in as many ways as possible. I hope she'll sort out issue with leaking - especially those screw-on sample spray vials. Otherwise, it eats up a lot of her hard earned money.

D'Aguilar I am so glad I picked this one up. This is quite simply a masterpiece. I actually tried it last evening and tried to wrap my head around it because so much was going on. I thought this was your basic lavender with a few notes added. For instance I really enjoy Areej le Dore Musk Lave for its simplicity and feel good wear but D'Aguilar is much more complex and wonderfully composed I can see were Teone's remark in her sites description it took a lot of arm-wrestling to get this just right. It is so beautiful having not one Lavender note but four and then the rest of the ingredients read like a grocery list there are so many to mention. All I can say is the longevity is outstanding and potent. Two sprays for me this morning and I have had numerous positive comments as the day has wore on. This is an experience for me as the projection has been fairly dynamic for hours on end.

This is the third scent I have had time to enjoy. Each one has been excellent in their own way and I don't regret in the least purchasing them but I think this tops the charts for me personally. Definitely worth a sample if you are a Lavender fiend like myself. Easy wear for any occasion too. Just breathtaking Bravo Teone! Thank you for your perseverance it has definitely paid off.

I hope basenotes will elect to add this to their extensive wardrobe as I will be wearing this frequently.

One last word. Immense longevity. Really surprised for this type fragrance. Maybe I shouldn't be.

Enjoying Polynesia today with anticipation. My thoughts travel back in the time of creaky trade ships hauling their cargo in the spice trade. Then I am transported back to the isolated British countryside in a cold dark damp evening hour and get the impression of sitting by a warm cackling fire in a hunting lodge listening to some Jethro Tull albums such as Songs from the Wood or Heavy Horses. So many thoughts that are conjured up by this gem. Cedar wood and spice blend perfectly together and give a warming effect. I get the feeling of serenity as I enjoy the sweet spices ebb and flow throughout this composition. I keep getting a dark mysterious scent which is polar opposite of what I have enjoyed from Teone recently. It is by no means playing second fiddle as it seems to beckon and speak to you again and again with it's dancing nuances of the blend. As I have said before Teone seems to be a master of her trade. I have really enjoyed her artistic talent which keeps wooing me time and time again. This is no exception.

I now wait anxiously to try some of her Mukhallats when they arrive.

Wearing the last of my Zeeba sample today. This thing is simply gorgeous. I’m getting much more rose today and the Oud is a tad bit more prominent than the sandalwood. It’s so simple and soothing. If I had to describe her work with one word it would be “clarity”.

A couple of quick views.

Raven a very beautiful Rose scent that is so fresh and watery. The supporting cast brings this scent to a very interesting and enjoyable wear. It is far from a one trick pony, the rose is prominent but ylang ylang, oakmoss and patchouli provide a welcome strength to the composition. This again is a selection that is no longer available on Teone's site just like Winter Light. My wife really likes it and pinched it yesterday.

Night Song another gem from the house. This I won't go into much detail as others have described this so very well. All I can say it's definitely a absolute beaut. So many phases as it is a shapeshifter and the longevity is excellent. One of my favorites to be sure.

Irises from a sample. A enjoyable vintage type scent that flows perfectly and isn't mellow at all to my surprise. Bergamot and jasmine brighten the beginning and then a potent Orris root emerges combined with cedar wood and Vetiver which springs it to unisex status. Overall, another sublime and enjoyable wear.

Not a bad experience so far and I am hooked to experience so much more. Well I need to save my pennies.

I love the activity in this thread, so much fun to read all of your thoughts! I've spent the holidays wearing Polynesia, Brunei Zeeba and Bitter Sweet. They are all incredible!

I feel that Polynesia is much more compatible with cold weather than I first thought, as the spices and ambery elements become much more pronounced in favor of the beachy vibe from the tropical florals - a sentiment that seems to align with the warm crackling fire thing that TNBLUEMIKE describes above. The drydown is pure bliss, and I agree with what I think was Swoleosis assessment a few pages back that it is especially stunning (and lasts forever) on clothes.

Brunei Zeeba does resemble OG Zeeba, but the dilution and the sweeter profile of the Brunei oud gives it the feel of an extremely luxurious body oil, which wears kind of like a gourmand the way it radiates warmth and comfort. There are none of the rough green qualities which makes the oud in the extrait so gorgeous, this is its own thing, and the perfect thing to slather on after a hot bath. It will probably run out too quickly for my liking, though.

As for Bitter Sweet, the opening is really special, with bitter orange, dark chocolate and a slight touch of coffee. There is a quality here which I’m struggling to describe, but which makes it really really cool. I first thought of it as boozy, imagining the orange in like a cointreau-type liqueur, but it is not sweet enough, and the dry bitterness from the (guaranteed 70% or more cocoa) chocolate and coffee also makes the word “boozy” not quite right. I think humid is a more accurate description of the vibe here - even though there is this clear dryness next to it. As the name suggests, it is both bitter and sweet, and almost a bit savory, as if there is a slight touch of sea salt in the chocolate. All these contrasts paint an image to me of having an espresso and a piece of orange flavored dark chocolate someplace really warm and humid. As the opening wanes, the orange recedes and coffee amps up slightly. The rest of the scent is to me a delicious, bitter sweet blend of dark roasted coffee, vanilla/amber and sandalwood. I initially associated the drydown to Embers, and the comparison can be made if you squint and tilt your head. It has amber and some sandalwood, sure, but the coffee that lingers without becoming stale makes this a real stunner of its own. As I’m reading this it looks like I’m describing a dessert and not a perfume… it is a gourmand, but a really grown up one.

Avrora awesome thoughts.

I actually have Bitter Sweet to sample so I am really excited about your impressions. I will definitely try it tomorrow.

Polynesia is wonderful and I agree it is stunning during the drydown. Longevity matches Night Song so I am very pleased. I haven't tried Zeeba in any iteration so far but I see it has a quite a following.

One last thought Irises didn't have the staying power of Winter Light or East. Dissapointing to me as the beginning had so much promise perhaps my skin didn't radiate it like it was meant to be. Anyway, it was just a gift sample from a recent purchase.

Avrora, as usual, great in depth analysis!!!
My experience with Bitter Sweet was very similar to yours. This is def a FB worthy for me. I am a huge fan of a smell of coffee but until now I have not been able to find any fragrances I enjoy with coffee notes - usually they are either too clowing too bitter. This one is amazing.
I have so far tried Polynesia, Nighsong, Irises, Ekaterina, Shakti, Cocobolo, Jacques,Zeeba and Raven. With exception of Ekaterina, all are great.

What is your opinion between Zeeba and Raven? Can you distinguish differences between each and enjoy each as a stand alone. I have really enjoyed Raven and wondered whether Zeeba overlaps or provides new territory.

Also, did Irises have staying power for you. Unfortunately, the longevity for me was lacking.

Irises def had less of staying power on me as compared to others (eg Shakti, Polynesia etc).
In terms of Zeeba vs Raven - to me the only overlap is that they both have rose. Zebra is your Middle eastern rose and Oud combo (quality of ingredients is amazing, you can pick up some of the truly complex aspects of Oud, but at the end of the day, it is what it is). If you already have ALD roses centered attars, you might be covered. To me Raven is a greener take on rose . There is no oud in Raven.
I can see a room for both as there is very little overlap.

Excellent! So very good to know. I see at the moment Luckyscent is the only outlet for Zeeba. I wonder if Teone will reintroduce it on her site? What I have noticed is she Isn't duplicating on her site what she has on offer at Luckyscent. I wonder if this will be the norm for the future?

Winter Light is so captivating today. Also, it seems to be radiating later in the day than my earlier experiences so the longevity for me at least has increased. Perhaps the cooler temps we have been experiencing here at the moment has kicked this into gear.

Yes she is. If you remember my shipping problem with both Autumn Shadows and Nefertum both smashed in transit. Well I had another order pending of the Mukhallets 10ml scent pencils and when this arrived Tuesday night low and behold two other scent pencils of both destroyed perfumes arrived with it. I am a fan for life.

Wearing East again today and it's creamy Mysore Sandlewood is unbelievable. I haven't tried Embers yet but I can't imagine it's take and how others have swooned over it. One for the future perhaps.

I'm glad you're enjoying East, I think its absolutely incredible and much woodier to me than Embers. I can't say anything about Embers that hasn't already been said, but its special. Please share your thoughts, and if you try Bitter Sweet I would love to hear about that one. For a long time I've been searching for that perfect Coffee scent, but I'm yet to scratch that itch in the form of perfume.

I have a sample of Bitter Sweet and I have barely sprayed it on my wrist as I have been trying out some of Teone's other compositions. I must wear it in the next couple of days for true thoughts. I did get a enjoyable coffee vibe that I recollect but not sure about longevity. I am really enjoying so many of her products due to the Christmas sale that I need to slow down and give a complete wear to each one.

Who else is excited about all that government issued Mysore she just posted! I didn’t really care for Embers but I feel like this new batch is going to be unreal.

Thanks for posting your thoughts on Bitter Sweet. Earlier today I noticed it posted on Luckyscent. I had a sample included in a Jasmin Antique bottle order I placed this morning. Seems right up my alley.

Those are rare gems. She can easily sell those mid-late 1990s Mysore sandalwood oils as £25-50/ml! I hope she'll keep some for East and some other compositions. I am almost certain that East will become more beautiful over time.
