Carefree Day. Wear a frivolous and happy scent.

Easygoing and fun scents is what I'm thinking:

- 4160 Tuesdays What I did on my holidays
- Guerlain Spirituse Double Vanille
- Guerlain Gourmand Coquin
- Creed Virgin Island Water
- Creed Millesime Imperial
- Dior Homme Intense
- Theirry Mugler Pure Malt
- Thierry Mugler Amen
- Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche

Easygoing and happy is where I'm going as well. Actually my "sunny, happy" scent is Samsara EDP and specifically the modern version. Diorella is another happy one.

Friday will be really warm, most likely too warm to wear Samsara, perhaps even Diorella... From my samples I could pick a carefree, light and pretty Goutal like Rose Splendide. Eau du Sud could possibly be my happy-in-the-heat scent... or at least not too unhappy (I hate high heat).

I like the theme!
Friday is going to be pretty warm here too, here's my list:

Diorella
AA Angélique Lilas
Safari
Oscar EdT
Eau de Givenchy
Théorema Esprit d'Eté
Private Collection

In fact the next two weeks it is going to be very warm (I hate it too, @Schubertian), so by way of consolation I made a tray:

Today I'm pre-synching with Safari.

Fanny, the Oscar de la Renta on your tray reminds me of a summer cologne they had many years ago. It was a beautiful Celadon green colour and was an even lighter, fresher concentration—my favourite version of Oscar ever. Did you ever come across it?

I just came back from a hiking trip to announce the upcoming Carefree Day and to prepare us to wear a frivolous and happy scent this Friday, but I see the party has already started early! Hooray!

To me, there's just nothing happier smelling than citrus scents, and I am perfectly happy to continue wearing them - especially as some heat is foretold, finally! ☀️

What smells like happiness and frivolity to YOU?

No I have not, that sounds interesting!I I recently bought this vintage bottle from a German trader who often has wonderful vintage offerings.

What makes me happy is any perfume from my collection! But then I'll be very pleased to consider testing new samples for tomorrow:
- a simple, fresh rose with some spices: Miller et Bertaux, Shanti Shanti
- a very spicy carnation, just the perfect bloom for another warm day: Œillet Louis XV, Oriza L. Legrand
- or my recently arrived bottle of Elizabeth Arden's White Tea, soooo fresh

How is today’s Oscar, compared to the vintage?
As far as I can smell they are quite the same apart from the opening, where the current formulation is a bit screechy. I think the vintage is a tad more mellow due to disappearance of some of the topnotes.

Today I'm wearing both, vintage on my right and current on my left arm:

Yaaaay !!! 🥳

Great theme, here are a few fragrances that put a smile on my face / put me in a good mood when I smell them... lots of citruses, so the time of the year is perfect !

* Still Life (Olfactive Studio)
Grey Vetiver (Tom Ford)
XIX March (Tiziana Terenzi)

* Vetiver Geranium (Creed)
Cologne (Mugler)
Note de Yuzu (Heeley)

* Oltremare (Bois 1920)
07 Tanoke (Odin N-Y) / during colder months

I realize I already synched with more than half of those this year... so I'll pick one among the remaining three ! 😁

Have plenty of options to choose from for an easygoing, even frivolous and/or also warm weather appropriate sync.

Apart from wearing most the heavier fragrances owned even during the hotter summers, have so far been blessed also with a quite generous, diversified and versatile array of summer appropriate, at least somewhat casual choices like:

La Martina Hombre, Sergio Soldano White, Mugler Cologne, Azzaro PH L'Eau and also one Azzaro PH Summer limited edition, Next Limits by Myrurgia, Eau Sauvage EDT, Kenzo PH, Guy Laroche Horizon, Eau de Grey Flannel, 1881 Edition Blanche, Zara White Tag, a large sized sample of Geranium pour Monsieur by Frederic Malle, Chevignon Brand, Pino Silvestre Original, Sir Irisch Moos, Fahrenheit 32, John Player's Special and also its Classic Green flanker, James Bronnley Original EDT, Krizia Uomo, Lomani, Floid Suave, S.T Dupont, if mentioning only a few.
