Can someone help meet out with good (even slightly strong) oud oil? I'm not too familiar with his perfumes/naming.
Or also from other brands but real oud, not some synthetic chemical that smells like oud.
Also, I'm not really a fan of flowery or fruity smells. Woody blend would be ideal, rose is fine too,

Really appreciate it

Are you looking for pure oud oil or an oud based attar?

Bought some Juriah. It has been slightly tweeked since jack Hunter smelled it.
It’s bit more fruity due to the increased Cambodian oud and osmanthus according to SP.
SP's simple description is a delicious jam rose on a bed of leather and oud.
No doubt in my mind this is a 5 star masterpiece.
Every thing about this just blows my mind. If there's only one rose oud frag to have, Juriah is the one.
Don't expect this to smell like any other rose/oud you've tried, because it doesn't. It's in a league by itself.
I'm going to tell you right now, I don't even have the vocabulary required to justify a proper description.
Juriah will put a smile on face from ear to ear, and you'll have one of the best perfume days of your life.

CAUTION - Juriah is addicting, and most insurance plans don't cover rehab.
Attars don't get any better than Juriah.
Juriah is the result of the best ingredients, and one of the best living noses' on the planet creating it.
Sultan Pasha's consistency is uncanny.

I just did one little swipe. About 10 minutes later my Wife came home and immediately said. "what's that your wearing, it smells awesome" She thought it was masculine without being overt. She also thought it didn't smell like perfume, she says it just made the room smell great without having any typical perfume traits.
I've worn it three days in a row, and my appreciation for Juriah grows with each wearing.

The price will make you gasp at $500.00 for 3ml.
Let's put it this way, I'm retired on a fixed income. Some how I'll find some more money to buy more when I run out.
I'll just take my weekly sample budget and save for more Juriah.

Well, I just sprang for Sultan Pasha's 29 attar sample set. I have a feeling I'm going to both love and regret this decision.

Finally bit the bullet and went for 1g of Aurum d’Angkhor. WTH, life is short...

I agree it is indeed one of Sultan’s quieter ‘more intimate’ attars.

I just love this one so much. Got 1ml of it and I don't wear it nearly as much as I'd like, just because it's so incredible I don't want to run out.

Cuirilas announced.

https://sultanpashaattars.com/products/cuirlilas

A scent of true Belle Époque opulence. Intense powdery musky start leading to sweet honeyed lilac, powdery orris and narcotic Madagascan Ylang Ylang Absolute on a base of deliciously decadent and warm SwedishCastoreum all cocooned in a mix of Sandalwood and precious resins. This will truly evoke memories of true decadence and opulence of the glorious perfume compositions of the past.

NOTES

Middle: lilac, orris pallida butter, Madagascan Ylang Ylang, Lily of the valley

Base: leather, white ambergris, Mysore sandalwood, musk, opoponax, guaicwood, honey, Siamese benzoin, tonka, Tonnes and tonnes of Swedish Castoreum

I wore tabac grande today and I would be willing to bet there isn't a better tobacco fragrance out there. I hear abdes salaam attar makes a great one, but I haven't found anything that even comes close otherwise.

On another note, I remember Sultan discussing releasing some Western-style EDP's in a LFSG video with Sebastian. I wonder how much longer we have til those come around?

That’s why I’m taking my own sweet time going through the 29. Unfortunately I was hooked by the very first sample I tried ( Aurum d’Angkhor)... iirc listed as Sample No.1? Well played, Sultan...

Yeah, my sampler arrived, and I’m afraid to start. So, I’m still cruising through my vintage acquisitions. But soon, dammit, soon!

Agreed. I recently ordered this one, along with Cafe Ambre Noir and Etude en Fougere. Can’t wait for them to arrive.

Tabac Grande is the BEST.

Sultan doesn’t do perfumes based upon alcohol to avoid shipping issues — shipping alcohol is verboten in air freight in many jurisdictions.

Wearing Thebes G1 today. What an amazing exploration of dread, decay, sadness, etc... I just wish it were louder!

Sultan Pasha has become one of my top 3 perfumers.

I'd like recommendations from both, but I'm likely going to go with oud based attars.
I'd love a pure oud oil, but I know that's gonna burn my pants.

i would check out rising phoenix and royal bengal ouds on etsy. you can get small samples of whatever you like for pretty reasonable prices....

elixirattars.com and mellifluence on etsy are very good. Both are super reliable and good people. Elixir Attars does work that is comparable to Sultan Pasha but naturals, and very very good as a perfumer. Mellifluence too, but he is 100% natural and many attars only last a few hours. But very good.

Still, not as good as Sultan Pasha although Elixir Attars Spirit of Persia was to me a striking fragrance that blows me away.

But back on topic: I ordered the new Sultan Pasha Cuirilas and have high hopes for it! I'll letcha know what I think.
