Stronger versions of these green fragrances

Hello everyone. Three fragrances that I already own and enjoy a lot are:

- TDC Tokyo Bloom
- Diptyque Eau de Lierre
- Berdoues Selva do Brasil

As you can see the three, more or less, share characteristics which are similar: very green, grassy, leafy, clean, relatively weak/intimate (not strong), unisex or slightly masculine. Besides, the three of them (at least to my nose) have very modern and casual, yet extremely natural, type of smell which I find really appeealing and wearable in a wide range of occasions (I live in a warm country).

Please, could you recommend stronger versions of the above-mentioned fragrances or maybe something in the same line with better performance? I already own and love Creed OV, which in fact could be a more than reasonable answer to this post as I find it excellent in both performance and scent. That said, what else would you propose?

Thank you!

Hmm,

I'm not familiar with the fragrances you mentioned unfortunately. The ones in my collection that have green, fresh characteristics that might interest you are Clive Christian - 1872 for men or Acqua di Parma - Colonia Club or, for a very unusual grassy experience Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Solstice (uses resins and a peppermint note over a heart/base of green, grassy notes). Another unusual grassy one is Frederic Malle - French Lover (is a grassy heart with medicinal tones and northern European herbs and beautifully done woods).

I don't know the fragrances you've mentioned, but among very green and long lasting fragrances are:

-Ajmal Verde
-Jeffrey Beene Bowling Green

I also don't know the fragrances you've mentioned, but you should try these green and long-lasting fragrances:

-Loewe Esencia
-Parfumerie Generale Papyrus di Ciane
-Dior Granville (to a lesser extent - exceptional fragrance, just not as green or potent as the other two)

Hunting for groovy greens is a great hunt!

How could I possibly have forgotten Diptyque Virgilio?!?

I own the Diptyque and the Berdoues and for the Berdoues I'd say give L’Eau du Dimanche by Lostmarch a try. It's stronger and although it's not exactly the same (it has a bit more going on in it) I think you would find it likeable.

I came in thinking of one of my all time favorite fragrances... CC 1872. 1872 isn't a tenacious fragrance, but lovely and enduring. I get all day performance from it. Highly recommended for anything green, and the bergamot in it is lovely as well.

The other recommendations in the thread are all solid. I'll now recommend an obvious one, since you like Original Vetiver, with Mugler Cologne. And also, I'll go way off the beaten path and recommend a gorgeous fragrance that I only recently have come to know... Chypre Narcotique by Ensar Oud. Chypre Narcotique is deep and well blended, and interesting to pieces! It features a very natural smelling deep green and earthy vetiver and also 'green' oud, yuzu, lily of the valley, and oakmoss which all add to it's green feeling. Longevity and performance are no issue. EO isn't cheap, but I don't presume to know the budget.

Best wishes!

The only one of the list I know is the Eau de Lierre, which I very much enjoy. This is a favorite scent category of mine, but so easy to for these types of scents to smell like drug store cheepies.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Club, NOT C.L.U.B is in the ball park, and lasts a long time.
Costume National Cyber Garden is maybe closer in style, and also has good legs.

The closest I know of is Comme des Garcons Amazing Green, which lasts, but sits very close, however is you like Eau de Lierre, it's worth a sniff.

Thank you all for your kind and informative answers. Suggestions so far seem really good and of high quality! 👍

Thank you. I have always been curious about Amazingreen but never smelled it. The positive and negative reviews about it on the internet confuse me a little: some saying it is a bit too synthetic and more blue than green (once top notes disappear) while others claiming exactly the opposite o_O

I'll also add my endorsement for CC 1872. Strong Green Scents are very much some of my absolute favorites. Creed OV ranking as one of my top fragrances of all time. Others along with 1872 that I'd recommend getting your nose on to see would be Xerjoff Nio, Mugler Cologne (RIP newly discontinued king), Banana Republic Vintage Green, and Dunhill Icon (though this sometimes smells more like grape soda to people than fresh cut grass like it does to me). If you want a bit more of a Neroli note then Bright Neroli would be a good starting point.

The good thing is bright green fragrances that perform can be had at nearly every price point so everyone can get to experience it.

Yes, and you see the same comments in reviews for Eau de Lierre, the dry downs are similar in spirit. It's green to me, I can see it being called synthetic, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

There's also a segment of CdG's fan base that can be very outspoken whenever they release something that isn't completely avant garde, they were always going to hate on Amazing Green.

I have to give CC 1872 and Xerjoff Nio a try, I have never smelled either. Mugler Cologne happens to be my wife's signature so I know it quite well. I own Vintage Green and is a favourite of mine (even thinking of buying Linen Vetiver from the same collection)

I understand what you mean and I will try to get a sample of Amazingreen (I just hope that gunpowder note is not too strong as I would prefer just a bit of smokiness)

Fantastic recommendations so far! Thank you!

I own a lot of the banana republic line including linen vetiver and they’re all good. One of my favorites is Cypress & Cedar. Linen Vetiver gives off a fresh clean vibe with a slight green note but I find it’s a bit weaker than Vintage Green. Cypress & Cedar doesn’t give off the green vibe you’re talking about but it’s still a fresh woods fragrance.

Thank you Mythrol, I'm sure I will end up buying Linen Vetiver sooner or later (I think it's moderate performance is forgivable given its low price point). This Banana Republic line seems a good one, the only thing that I dislike about my bottle of Vintage Green is the spray which pumps out a ridiculously small amount of juice when pushed :cautious:

The gunpowder note isn't strong at all for me, it's more of a flinty note to my nose, and fits the fragrance nicely.

Sounds interesting and is quite probable that I like it. I'll try to get my nose on it soon. Thanks! (y)
