Sel Marin or Note de Yuzu?

Looking for a summer marine, and trying to decide between the two.

Is the dry down basically the same as Sel de Marin, or is there enough difference to make it worth considering which to pick up?

I found them to be quite different. NdY has some massive and long lasting citruses while SM is more focused on the marine accords. There is a clove note in SM that frankly ruined it for me, it's so out of place and to my nose overwhelms all the aspects of it that I enjoyed.

I'd sample Sel Marin first, as it's one of the pricier mid-range scents -- it was just too sweet for me. Oud Minerale remains my favourite marine scent, but Acqua di Gio Profumo is its "warmer" flanker. If Oud Minerale is a beach in northern Canada on an overcast day, Acqua di Gio is a beach in New Jersey. In May.

Good idea, samples of both ordered.
BTW what's going on with Oud Minerale? Seems not to be available, that cold weather beach is sort of what I'm looking for.

It was discontinued in 2020, briefly "revived" with an awful "Resort Collection" batch release in an opaque 30mL bottle, and has now disappeared for good. I asked TF about a possible reissue a few weeks ago, and was basically told "in your dreams!".

Fortunately, Acqua di Gio Profumo has about 90-95% of the same scent profile, and is about 1/3 of the cost of the original price of Oud Minerale.

Arquiste Sydney Rock Pool is my favorite summer marine (some shared DNA with Oud Minerale, but warmer and more nuanced). Good salty sea spray feel balanced with sunnier notes.

Note di Yuzu is nice, but feels pricey for what it is.

Definite similarities but different enough as well.

Have you tried either of them? It would help to use your existing knowledge to bounce off the differences of the other.
