Tonight the house is being re-scented with "La Tournelle" by Astier De Villatte.

Witches Brew from Yankee Candle, a leftover from fall but I love the patchouli note this gives off.

It's really a good one, and I know Yankee Candle doesn't get much talk around here but I have several from them that really are quite nice.
It doesn't. My experience with YC is that many of the candles don't have a strong throw, but that could just be me.

Goose Creek is another one to look at although you would have to purchase online and can't return the candles if you don't like them.

I had a poor experience last year with YC, and decided to give them a try again this year during a sale, and since then I've been pleasantly surprised and haven't been let down yet. But I still prefer B&BW, other brands like Diptyque and Le Labo are nice but can tend to be on the expensive side. Also Frederic Malle falls into this category too, but I really enjoy his candles.

I haven't bought candles outside of B&BW in a while mainly because I have too many candles. It's tempting to try other houses but I don't want to accumulate more than what I can burn. I told myself no on Goose Creek despite their $9.95 candles.

I do as well! I used to love them when I was younger, and I still like a lot of their scents today. I usually get them at Bed Bath & Beyond over here, they always have a huge wall of Yankee Candles.

How many would you say you have in total? Even though the price for the Goose Creek candles is a very good deal, online only and no returns would seal the deal for me as a hard no.

I always get them strait from Yankee Candles website, but I've even had a few from B&BW that haven't lived up to the craftsmanship that they should be, even if this is few and far between. And in the event of power outages, its always nice to have some candles on hand :)

Today, I'm using a few drops of Eggnog fragrance oil in the oil warmer. Scent description: Sweet melted butter; notes of brown sugar simmering on the stove with tiny hints of nutmeg with cocoa butter and a dollop of sweet melted vanilla ice cream. Middle notes of cloves, ylang ylang and nutmeg.

Yesterday, I used a few drops of Hippy Christmas fragrance oil with added water in the ultrasonic diffuser. Scent description: An earthy blend of fresh patchouli, herbal sandalwood, with hints of strawberry and raspberry with a down of fresh vanilla and peppermint leaf. Predominant notes are patchouli and mint.

I estimate about 70 plus another 12 from Candle Day. How about you?

I want a good vanilla based candle from B&BW. Vanilla Bean and Vanilla Bean Noel have poor throws. Vanilla Bean Marshmallow is what I'm using.
