Autumn’s approach is becoming obvious here. Cooler nights, maple wetlands already in full fall foliage, so I wore some Hayloft today and it fit perfectly.

I wasn’t enamored with any of the recent “moss series” but really love both of the hay scents that came out last year.

Has anyone else received the coffee & tobacco prototype? I’m thoroughly digging that as well and envision at least a little 4ml spray once/if released.

Earlier this summer I sprung for a 17ml Delfiño and brought it and a decant of Villoresi Acqua di Colonia on a work excursion to southern Italy last week. Delfiño is absolutely lovely in the late summer Mediterranean heat. I enjoy wearing it at home too but it took on new meaning as a companion to the scooter exhaust and cigarette smoke of narrow Neapolitan streets.

Glad to read of your enjoyment from wearing Hayloft, Iso. :)

I'm wearing Pastoral today and just came in from a beautiful walk by a riverside trail. As Autumn approaches and the air cools, the wafts of Pastoral fill me with calmness and make me happy. What a beautiful fragrance this one is for cool Autumn afternoons and evenings out in nature.

I have been intrigued by Pineward Perfumes for a while now, but every time I go to their website (for about a year now) everything is listed as sold out.

So --do they sell out that fast, or are they sold through some ultrasecret, members-only site?

You must be looking at the wrong times lol. Like right now the shop is closed for the month. He takes breaks every so often for vacations and such and shutters the shop while away.

I think only one or two fragrances are sold out. And that’s because they’re seasonal. But like Blood said he closes shop to get ready for the new season.

How funny. I wore Hayloft yesterday too and thought the exact same thing. Just a great fragrance, especially in the fall.

Has anyone tried the 2023 reformulated versions? If not, guess I'll be getting even more samples after the re-opening.

I'm curious about which were reformulated. I think Treacle and Ponderosa are perfect as they are, I hope not those two.

i would be curious on a slight reformulating of steading to make it sweeter than the batch i have personally, will definitely be curious and could see revisiting some if he made slight tweaks. i keep returning to nocturnis, ponderosa, white fir, hayride, treacle, and pastoral. all are really phenomenal and i have 4 mls of, may need to size a few of them up

The little tweaks are in the descriptions. Like...Funerie: Summer 2023 Edit: Less mushroom, more incense and cedar
Nocturnis: Fall 2023 Revision: more fir and sandalwood, less chamomile

A small change can make a big difference, the two apple tabac versions I have are very distinct.

Also, I asked and there are no plans to revise Ponderosa ;) because yes, it's perfect.

Decided to wear Ponderosa for the afternoon. This stuff is just as satisfying every single time. I am not a fan of Pine scents by any means, far from being a conhead, but this is without a doubt my favorite Pine based perfume. A very unique approach to this genre. To me, this one is the most addictive and satisfying pine-based perfume that I've tried, and Treacle is the most satisfying and addictive tobacco-based perfume that I've tried. I also love Gluhwein but only wear it in Winter, it has poor versatility, although better than the perfume that inspired it (Zahd). But I believe Ponderosa and Treacle are his best overall. Very unique also, which is hard to do these days.

I was hiking in a Ponderosa forest a few days ago shortly after it had rained. Everything was wet and it had the most amazing aroma. I kept telling my wife to slow down so I could smell all the tree bark. One of the best aroma experiences of my life.

I need to sample Ponderosa now because if it comes anywhere close to that aroma I want to smell like that all the time. I can only describe it as sweet, strawberry tea with cereal milk.

Wow, that's so cool. I never smelled Ponderosa Pine in real life, never been close to an actual tree. But the way you described the smell is spot on👌🏻. That's how this perfume smells like. Like edible Pine tree, without being annoyingly gourmand or sweet.

Pineward's Ponderosa is amazing. If you take that smell of Ponderosa Pine bark when it's wet and amp it up, that's what Pineward's perfume smells like. It's not overpowering though...frankly, it's like Mary Poppins..."Practically perfect in every way". This is my opinion of course, but like Dr B1414, I absolutely love the stuff.

In my top 3 perfumes of all time...but I "am" a Conehead. (y) 🌲🌲🌲🎄

I’m a conehead too! This sounds amazing. Instant buy once the store is back up.

My current favorite conifer fragrance is yet to be released from a house yet to be announced. But once it’s finally out into the world it’ll be cool to see how it’s received with a lot of the gems from Pineward and Slumberhouse. For now I just want to live in a pine forest all the time.

Wouldn't that be the best?! Living in a coniferous forest would be where it's at for me as well. I love to go up a mountain to see which conifers thrive at what altitudes. For example, the Ponderosa Pines are not at the highest altitudes, but they are higher than some. The top of the mountains have mostly Fir trees, which are my very favorite. With Douglas and Fraser Firs giving off that Christmas tree vibe the most to me.

Let us all know when your favorite conifer fragrance is released. :)

I'm very curious about whether I'm the only one here who was actually hoping Ponderosa was one of the perfumes being tweaked for the re-opening. I would buy it in a split-second if it were a bit less sweet. I'm really looking forward to sampling the new releases!

The trees themselves are really sweet though. Which caught me off guard tbh. I still haven’t smelled Ponderosa but I really hope it stays true to the aroma I smelled in the forest. No joke it smelled like sweet strawberry milk.
