Anatolia. Tried it today, and it’s seems really linear on me. Which is a shame as it’s just a leather gourmand, with more gourmand than anything else. Only been on a couple of hours so maybe it’ll dry and develop. Hope so
anatolia antolia is a massive step up with this one

In my experience it doesn’t change and just keeps droning on and on with that synthy over-sweetened loukhoum. A rare Prin miss imo.

Just received my full bottle of Arsalan yesterday, heavy in funky and animalic oud, with a good kick of barnyard in the opening, by far this is the oudiest I've tried from PRIN. The projection is weaker than both Mriga and Onthamara but still enjoyable, this is something I could douse the hell out of. 😂

PRIN has the best animalic game in town, with his skunk, goat hair and all. I wonder if he ever considers using Snake Oil in a new composition? You know..... to give us that authentic musky and skunky snake funk. 😁😝

Aranyaka just arrived yesterday.

Easily my favorite Prin. There’s small changes between this composition and his newer works and those changes are apparent in his DNA where I’ve noticed slight differences in both the musk AC’s and the woody ambers. Whatever he was doing differently with Aranyaka just works for me because there wasn’t a single moment where I thought “ehhh I like this but it’s not working on my skin” like I do with most of his newer works.

Aranyaka to my nose is the ultimate incense composition from Prin. I’m not sure if he’s made anything better because this seems to be the framework in which a lot of his newer compositions seem to mimic but never exceed in terms of blending or materials.

His use of animalics in this composition far outweighs any of the three just released and it makes me glad I never got full bottles because Aranyaka is everything I could want out of Prin. Between the spicy cloves, the civet laced incense, the oakmoss and lavender or even the intense cigar tobacco accord this just has it all. It’s perfectly balanced. 10/10 in my book.

Man I’m sad I missed this one and Aksum. Sort of my two white whale Prins at this point.

I think Raj still produces batches of Aranyaka. Contact him on Facebook
Thanks for the tip! I don’t have Facebook so I dm’d him on Instagram. Fingers crossed :)

My fragrance engineers samples arrived today: I’m about 30 minutes into wearing Sohrab (or Shorab? On the sample that’s how it’s spelled). Really really nice but there’s a subtle metallic element that I think might be the galbanum that I’m not in love with. It feels a little too bright and top heavy, the base almost has a hollowness to it that makes me wonder if I’m anosmic to a component. There’s a shared quality with Varuek but way less warm and animalic. Definitely on par quality/blending wise with Prins best though.

Nekro Dellamorte definitely does have a cow manure quality but it’s also so sour lol…like sour milk sour.. And spitty? The most grotesque part is that you can still pick out a dainty pretty floral nuance which for some reason makes it way more disturbing than if it was just gross notes lol. Im all for wearing weird or off putting scents for fun but you’d have to pay me to actually have a full wearing of it, I’m amazed a brand was willing to put this out and I’d be curious to hear if they’ve ever sold a bottle lol.

Got the last bottle of Aranyaka from Raj. Thanks again for the tip!

Sohrab has now settled into something very similar to Anatolia, but with a slight animalic tinge. They both share that AC that bugs me so this one is no go. Curious to hear if anyone else has noticed the similarities in the far drydown of these two.

So everyones who's had the pack, would you still buy all three in retrospect?
Onthamara is still worth buying in my opinion but I’d be okay on the other two.

I only bought decants and I’m glad I haven’t purchased full bottles. I think collecting the old Pryn line makes more sense.

Prin is a a house and perfumer I am just starting to discover. Onthamara is my first full bottle and I really like it. I am still considering getting the other two. Where can I get any of the old Pryn line?

It’s difficult to find some of the older works. Rajesh was selling the last stock of his bottles recently but it seems like Facebook and even here is a good place for it.

Prin has a ton of overlap with his scents and alot of them are misses for me because there’s often that one archetype he creates that just destroys everything.

Nocturnal Poetry is a current floral available that I think is also some of his best work. It’s just a huge animalic floral.

I was able to get a bottle of Aksum from Prin after it was gone by emailing him. He even sold it to me for less because he didn't have a proper box. I would say it's worth hitting him up. You never know what he might have lying around!
