Interested to know your views on the edt and edp. Also, how the current compares to vintage.
I remember trying both many years ago and finding the edp had a chocolate/orange note that disturbed me, (reminded me too much of Terry's chocolate orange) Maybe I got it wrong (?), so glad to hear your opinions.

Also, when a seller has a bottle with no box is there a way of telling if the bottle older or newer version ?
Is the cap a darker blue on the newer bottle ?
Thanks for any help.

For me, the EDT was fresher and more versatile.
I only ever really used the thicker EDP in the middle of winter.
I haven't tested the current stuff.

Vintage EDP was an absolute monster of a scent, especially compared to today's standards. Very situational for me, lasted about as long as Dior Homme Parfum too.

The newer EDP batches in clear bottles were still great however, perhaps slightly easier to wear.

I have both, and greatly prefer the EDP - its rich and almost voluptuous, like donning a plush (oriental) robe. After that, the edt feels a bit thin, though somewhat easier to wear across occasions. Is there a current Edp? I thought it went away many years ago.

Thanks to everyone for the input.
How similar is the newer edt to the older version ?

I find the EdT a tiny bit fresher and more soapy on top, which I prefer. Current formulation is fine to me, vintage was almost a bit much.
That's my experience too. EdT was much more wearable overall and even that was only in really cold weather. EdP in vintage form came across as very medicinal. Most recent EdP was bearable though.

Bumping this thread in case anyone can help me to identify the older bottle if there is no box.. Is the cap a darker blue on the newer release ?
Thanks for any help.
