Blurb:
"Introducing our new Eclipse Cologne, a cologne from day to night.

Trumper is proud to present a new aromatic Chypre fragrance. Full bodied Britishness.

Vibrant and aromatic with rich top notes of Verbena, Clary Sage and Orange Blossom. Gently melding in a heart of Iris, Tuberose and Ylang Ylang.

Interlaced with a bottom layer of Vetiver, Oak Moss, Amber and a tiny hint of Ginger. This is an intoxicating fragrance worn by the brave.

Base Notes – Vetiver, Amber, Oakmoss

Middle Notes – Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang, Iris, Jasmine, Patchouli

Top Notes – Verbenam, Orange Blossom, Clary Sage, Chamomile, Geranium"

Interesting that the bottle seems so similar to their 'ancient' collection bottles, wonder if it's indicative of this one having a very traditional feel? Havana is their best recent release for me. Paisley was quite nice, but a bit unoriginal and uninspiring. Eucris EDT and EDP, Spanish Leather, Wild Fern and Sandalwood are all absolute gems IMO!

If the moss is turned all the way up to 11 like with Eucris EDP I may well end up owning a bottle! 😁

Trumpers does some interesting trad stuff. Not sure about this one.

May try it at some point.

Maybe an attempt at a more contemporary scent? Not sure.

Definitely weird branding but that trainwreck of notes sure does sound interesting.

I'd try it.

I think the Twilight style branding is pretty funny. And I can't think of another fragrance with that set of notes- definitely want to try.

Ha glad someone said it about the branding.

Argh c'mon, it's like they got the intern to put together a mood board and ran with it.

I kinda get that some brands have crummy artwork and design, even if their frags are the knees. Maybe challenging us to see beyond brand... Scratches head.

I'm up for re designing a concept at least!!

On second viewing, I think this is trying to appeal to the middle eastern/Islamic market. The lunar branding is obvious, and the use of crescent moons in the font has a vague similarity to Arabic script. Islam being a lunar religion, the symbolism of an 'eclipse' seems...interesting. I think TOBS made a better go of modernising with their takes on sweet tobacco and Aventus. This seems rather clunky by comparison.

This move would be entirely in keeping with a lot of the market going 'Eurabic' in both marketing and aroma (oud etc). The notes seem interesting enough to try as it could end up being anything - from a fougere to an aquatic to an oriental amber. My guess would be that it is either a clone or clone-adjacent fragrance, similar to what Floris produce.

They changed the design about 12 months ago for both the splash bottles and the (new) spray bottles.

So they got rid of the weird plastic seal around the splash plug and went to crimp-on splashes huh?

Probably safer.

Presumably cheaper as well, and a change made to accommodate the sprayer (which is a good change in my opinion, it's good to have the option of splash or spray).

I've somewhat slept on this house (even though I love Eucris).

It's a bit hard to source here.
