I'm looking to identify a vintage perfume my late grandmother owned somewhere in the 1970s-1980s. My only knowledge of this mystery perfume is below--I've never seen nor smelled it in person. (hoping to gift a bottle to my mother this Christmas
This perfume was very special to her) From my past questioning, I have this much information about the perfume. My mother is good with remembering details, so most if not all of these should be present in the perfume:
* The perfume came in a faded baby blue box with silver text.
* The bottle had a silver or gold cap. It might've looked like a ball or cylinder (unsure)
* There were likely no designs on the glass. The glass should be fairly plain: a flattened spherical vial with a simple metallic (gold/silver) cap on top.
* The country of origin might've been Russia, but it could have been somewhere in Europe (possibly French?)
* My grandmother obtained this perfume sometime in the late 60s or early 70s--at the latest, in the early 80's.
* The perfume was NOT a spray-type eau de parfum or eau de toilette, but a concentrate. I believe that makes it an oil perfume, but I could be wrong Either way, it was applied directly to skin, and the scent lasted for several days.
* The bottle was tiny. From description, I'd guess it was about the size of a .17oz bottle (grandmother never ran out of this perfume, it was simply lost to time)
* The best match for the bottle so far is "Casmir" by Chopard Parfums. The bottle should look quite similar to Casmir, only a lot smaller--definitely 1oz or less, and probably closer to the .17oz bottle. Unlike the Casmir, the bottle also shouldn't have any designs in the glass.
