Narcisse and Jonquil

In my experimental blends to add flower materials to male fragrances, I really like the combination with narcisse. I have some Narcisse Base 184092 D (Firmenich) which fits very nicely in my current blend. In the first hour it smells fantastic. But then it starts to change in a more soapy smell, which I don't like. Because its the same plant family I've tried Jonquil Absolute instead, but this is more herbal/green and less flowerish. Is there any narcisse (or jonquil) material that does not turn soapy after some hours?

I have Narcisuss poeticus from Auvergne, and dont seems me soapy drydown, it is more in the nutty fruity honeysh, and it is less green herbal than jonquil, maybe because less beta ocimene and methyl benzoate contents.
It is lovely but clearly the problem is the really insane price.

Why not add things to alter the dry down as opposed to being dependent on this base?
You mean, pick out the materials from the base that I like without the soapy ones? This would be a very long and tricky task.
Look this over for some ideas:

You could also consider adding MA/Helional Schiff base to your already purchased / used Narcisse base.
Thanks for your link and your tip. Will give it a try.

No I meant to formulate the base portion in a way that covers/masks the soapy effect you dislike.

Also during the dry down, whatever is in the Narcisse base may playing with something else to create that soapy vibe.

You can try to either just put the base directly into an atomizer by itself with some ethanol and spray it to see if that same soapy effect is there. If it is, then as I said add things to the base to mask it.
If it’s not coming from the base, then there’s already something in your formula that it’s pairing with to create that note.
