Cartier Declaration Essence

Staying in the groove from yesterday's wearing of Declaration. I like to think about two-bottle wardrobes sometimes. I never can bring myself to do it, but if were to go that direction, I think Declaration Essence would be a good bet for one of the two. Spicy, woody, and textured, it hits all the right buttons for me.

TRNP ... Zeeba ... this beautiful medicinal rose/oud fragrance lives in the same neighborhood as my beloved Boadicea the Victorious Nemer. I am recovering from COVID so my nose/olfactory system has some selective dismissal of certain notes and perfumes, but Zeeba has no problem penetrating the COVID force-field.

P.S. I am a late entry into the TRNP fan club as I was not initially impressed by many perfumes, but they have aged extremely well and I am now more appreciative of her creations.

Maria Candida Gentile - Viridarium
New release from one of my favorite perfumers. Green wonderfulness! It's soapy, and minty to my nose, with a touch of woods in the background.
What I love about Maria's concoctions are that they somehow intermingle the world of classic 70-80's perfumery with the natural world. And here again, there's the real feeling of natural flora, that's sitting harmoniously alongside a classic green soapy fragrance that any of us old enough to, would have enjoyed wearing back in the day. Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing whatsoever dated about this, it's tuned for the present day, but being of that generation, it's the vibe I get from this, and many of my other favorites from her, sans any drug store cheapness, or cloying look at me beastmodeness.

Glad I took the chance on this one, it's another of those wear anytime, anywhere scents that's sure to not ruffle any feathers, while being absolutely unique and worthwhile to wear.
Thanks Maria!

I often think about about 2 bottle wardrobes as well, be it from 1 brand, or 2 niche, 2 designer, etc. Just fun little thought exercises.
I was recently thinking that I could be perfectly happy with just Declaration Essence & Declaration Cologne.
I’m still in the honeymoon phase, so I might think differently next year but… yeah. Those 2 cover a lot of ground.
