Very fine timepieces, congratulations Adam, Bklow and BBCDoc- thank you for posting and great to see that here on BN the timeless, functional and both luxurious but also understated, timelessly tasteful watches seem to have the clear majority, at least within/based on this particular thread

The blue 44 MM Quartz. I need a big watch, and I prefer quartz because I already have to fuss with keeping my Rolex Sub wound up.

Nothing wrong with Quartz in my book. It's nice to have some easy grab and go options in your arsenal. :D

I've been into my gold tone seiko tire turtle these days. I was going to sell it, but after swapping it out to a navy blue nato, it really jazzed it up

Wearing my Green Certina DS Action C032.410.11.091.00 as my WOTD today. I've had it quite awhile now, but it's one I keep in my rotation as it's a great "Grab & Go" option for green fragrance / shirt combos and the ETA Percidrive movement is very accurate.

Thanks Hednic.

Today's WOTD is another quartz that I wear often in my rotation. An Omega Seamaster Professional 2541.80.00, it's one of my favorite travel watches as the middle position on the crown is a quick set hour that allows you to advance or turn back the hour hand independently without affecting the seconds / minutes.

Omega is my dream watch. My father had one...don't think my type of employment will ever give me the income to afford one, but they are my favorite. Classic looking, rugged yet beautiful.

Finally came to an exit-trio (can't make it to a single exit watch!):

Excellent choices Colin. I was toying with the idea of adding an Aqua Terra to my collection, but ended up going with the Speedmaster. That Jaeger is stunning.

My WOTD today doesn't get much wrist time and pretty much lives in one of the spots on my winder. But I don't think I'll part with it as I really like the classic style. It's the MIDO Commander II Ref#: M014.430.33.021.80

That TUDOR is on my wish list. Love the look.

The day I bought it I was actually going to the dealer to buy a Rolex Datejust 41. I didn’t even know the store carried Tudor. I walked in and as I was heading to the Rolex display cases I noticed the Tudor case and stopped to look since I hand them seen this watch in person. It looked so good in person that I decided to try it on. I told the sales person I came in to buy a DJ41, so we took the Tudor over to Rolex counter and I tried on every DJ41. I ended up with the black dial Rolex and the Tudor next to each other on the jewelers pad. I took a couple steps back and asked myself which one I thought looked better ignoring the iconic status of the crown. I thought the gloss black dial looked better than the black sunburst, I could easily see the time with the snowflake hands compared to the sticks, and I preferred the slightly wider bracelet. So that’s my story on how I ended up with the Black Bay 41.

I have recently purchased a few "marriage" watches, which are vintage pocket watches which have been made into wrist watches. They are almost all from the Ukraine, and include many Omega, IWC, Hamilton, and also some Pateks and Rolex. Many are truly one of a kind, as they are in amazing condition for 100 year old pocket watches that were not made in large quantities and were now converted into wrist watches. Many watch collectors consider them to be "abominations", but I love the ones I have. Do any of you have experience with them?
